Yeah this guys or what ever you'd like to call them. Knew exactly who and what they where hitting up. Yeah the car was either key cloned, ECU swapped, or picked up in a flat bed. Wouldn't surprise me if it was the later of the three. There has been a few robberies involving tow trucks, because no one runs the plates or questions the vehicle on a tow truck. We all just drive by it assuming he is doing his job. This wasn't Houston, but it happened here too awhile back it just wasn't as publicized. I wonder why? Remember the safe clear scandal and how the tow truck company owner new the city councilman. Don't know who to trust anymore.

I agree. Nobody questions it because we see it so often as part of daily life. I'm thinking more of a key clone because we just got news whoever has it got into a high speed chase with the police about 3AM this morning and got away.

Dammit that sux. Makes me want to re-invest in another biometric starter for my truck. Had one on my Race Camaro, just haven't had the chance to see the wiring behind the 16 Tacoma push button, to see if it is similar to a key cylinder.

 

Yeah it's got me worried for sure. I don't ever take my car to the dealership for anything where anyone could mess with it but if someone ever got it I would burn Houston to the ground to find it, and god help whoever took it. My exhaust is so loud on my car though there is no way in hell they cold start it without waking me up. They would have to drag it out of the garage and haul it off on a flatbed.
