It was the same. I did an update when it was still up. Same file that got loaded into my truck months prior.

the revision was posted. it was also taken down off toyota servers days later.

just because someone saved a pdf of the "revised" TSB and posted a screenshot of it doesn't mean it is still active.
its gone. trust me. i log into TIS dozens of times a day. "revision 1" is still gone. just like i said earlier. no more. non-existent. nil. nada. nothing. GONE. seriously. there is no word on its return, replacement, modification, update, edit, or whatever wording you want to use.

if you have not had TSB-0077-16 done, and are experiencing shift issues, i'd recommend getting it done.

Let's run through a hypothetical scenario:

"They dropped the revision one wording and have an updated file still on the servers"
    See attached images.

Trust me, I'll be one of the first to spread the word when/IF something new is out there.
It's my job to help toyota owners.

I'm an Old School Mech. Not sure a "Learning Transmission" is a good idea. What if you are stuck in daily traffic jams ? That's not my driving style. Can it be smart enough to figure that out ?

I just got off the phone from a "follow up call from Toyota Coorprate." They wanted more information on "post TSB" and current unresolved issues. they documented all I said. I asked if there was a new TSB in the works "no" not at this time. "They" need more information back from folks like us. She went on, "make sure you tell all that are having issues call Coorprate and create a case file." Wait wait and wait...

Now, that is what we are asking for, nothing more , nothing less, well said!
Perhaps Toyota should have given their third generation Tacoma a more thorough education.......... No guess not ....third gen. fAILED powertrain course ....Toyota FAILED the loyal Tacoma following. Come on Toyota, should have produced a better powertrain, not regressed!

I had the TSB done awhile back never helped mine .... it constantly shifted searching for gears on the interstate on a moderate grade it would go down to 4th gear got 16 mpg. Got 8.4 mpg pulling a small R pod camper. I couldn't take it any longer traded it in for a Chevy Colorado diesel Z71 4x4 averaging 27 mpg now and can honestly say this truck is a pleasure to drive. Good luck but in my opinion Toyota really screwed up this year with the new engine/transmission.

A friend of mine a couple of months ago traded his Colorado diesel Z71 4by4 for a TRD Pro. He loves his TRD Pro. He said his Colorado was just not getting it done for him, off road or towing. Funny you said the same thing about your Taco. Its a strange World on Tacoma World...Sorry to hear you had a lemon, lots of those on here. I posted a towing video here, a week or so ago, that showed the 3rd Gen out towing the 2nd Gen by 50 seconds up a very difficult grade to 11,000ft + at 7% (same test). My friend has a small camper he tows with his TRD Pro, he says it tows like a Pro...

    going to be fun!
They did the flash on my truck Friday as they said it would get rid of the vibrations in the steering wheel and that didn't happen. I can say that it did improve the shifting points and I dont have that erratic shit between 70/80 MPH anymore.
