Installed a Bakflip MX4 about a month ago... bad picture, but more to come after lift/tires/wheels arrive in the next few weeks.

MX4 is amazing. Has a sleek matte black look to it. Very flush with top of bed sides. Very tough material, folds 2 times flat and can also fold up to the cab vertically and held in by 2 locking rods for ~ 90% access to bed.

Did you install yourself or have someone local do it? And did you find someone up here that stocks them? I've been looking around here (anchorage/ER) for something like this!! Moar Deets!!

I installed it myself. Took about 1.5 hours although I took my time with it and didnt rush it. Just wanted it to fit perfect the first try and it was super easy.

I actually bought it online and had it shipped to my parents place in MN and then they shipped it up to me ( cheaper ).

Bought it off some generic truck accesory website... went through the chat and talked down the price quite a bit. In reality I would have been fine paying full price or even more for it at this point. Great product!

Plug and play. The master tech said all he had to do was unplug the old and put the new one in. It lights up a white/blue colour (hard to tell during the day).
This was an oem part and not a knockoff so thats why it was pricey on Ebay. The fit was perfect like it came from the factory.

No, the Engine start stop script is under the TRD and it all lights up. The one that you show me has along the bottom of the button and there is a little cut out for the light.
In addition, all the info is silk screened on the plug and not is a sticker.

Yes I removed all of the emblems there are no holes to fill just remove with some fishing string a heat gun and some type of adhesive remover. I also had my rear bumper covers color matched, not a big fan of chrome.

Finally fixed the ugly factory lighting. I don't understand why Toyota gave us a projector housing with a halogen bulb. So I bought a set of opt7 6000k flux leds h11 clear white bulbs and a set of opt7 yellow fog light leds h11 as well.

What a difference. The lighting is a perfect projector line straight across and it should have come like this from the factory. Zap strapped the wires and made it nice and clean.
