    Hey all!

So today I did some minor 4x4 trails and had to kick it in 4wd a few times just for a little while. Some mud/puddles that were pretty deep I also had to go through.
Anyways towards the end of trails I started realizing there was noise coming from under the truck. Anytime I get any lean or anything where one tire is higher than the other I get weird creaking sounds. .
It's hard to explain the sounds. But it's like creaking.
Like pulling in my driveway has a tiny downhill and bump and it even made it when I pulled in. Seems like it's coming from the rear. Anyone ever hear of these trucks doing anything like that or any idea what it is?

Was gonna bring it into the dealer but they charge if they don't find issues. Truck only has 800 miles on it. Keeps happening then I'm gonna clean it and bring it in.
PS. I need to look into how to clean these motors if I can use a pressure washer from a distance when it's cold. Lol

Here is one vid where I was in 4LO and using crawl control for first time and can somewhat hear the noise but most is normal Abs and traction control noise from crawl control.

    https://youtu.be/wu4t2MUQCjw
This I was in 2wd with nothing on and you can hear the noise. It doesn't do it much but it's what noise I hear. What is it? Lol

The leaf springs on these trucks are horibble/notorious for creaking amd swuaking, could this be what you hear?

Check see that your spare is tightly cranked up, push it with your foot, if it moves, its loose. Or it may be the leaf springs creaking and moaning.

Maybe... Did you see the video? The second one is all the noise I hear. It's driving me nuts and now it's happening in town.

I'll have to check the spare. Thanks.

Is there any fix besides new leaf springs on a new truck? They shouldn't be making noise in town just turning in places right? Any angle I get noise lol

Mine creak and groan, ive gotten use to it. Many people have tried many things, some with more success than others. I would take it in if it bugs you, they will likely say its "normal".

That is a stumper... Ive herd that peoole sometimes have to tie the spare tire chain so it does not clang around. I also herd noises kinda like that wheeling. Took it in and they basically laughed said that i should take my hitch out... Once removed the noise was gone! Hitch was loose in the receiver and making noise...

Just grasping at straws... Stand on the back bumper and rock the truck side to side see if you can narrow it down.

I took my ball hitch out before because I knew I'd get on angles and stick it in the ground. I'll look into spare when light comes up in the morning. Damn way too dark at 5.

Well I'll check spare in morning and bounce around on the back and see if I can narrow it down. Was just hoping I didn't break anything. I was on some crazy trails that were marked 4wd only but I stayed in 2wd most of the time until I had to climb rocks and trees. Just seems weird the leaf springs would always make noise. That drive me insane if they do.
Side note truck did pretty good but I did limit some of the stuff I did.

Check your front body mounts up near the radiator core support both sides

So I went out for food. Before I left I jumped on back bumper and no noise. Kicked the spare tire and no movement. Grrrr.

I'll have to see if I can find these in the morning. Definitly to dark to try to find. It does sound like it's the rear.

pinion angle? Or you tanked something in the rear end. If you're under warranty take it to them...

Thanks guys. I'm gonna go to the one car wash and try to spray off my leaf springs best I can then take it to my normal car wash so they can clean the truck and see if my mechanic can get me in today. Doubt he can fit me in today but I'll try.
