What is your evidence that distracted driving was the cause of this, other than he appears to have rear-ended someone? Not saying you're wrong, but way to call him out without facts.

I'd reserve comments on how your are feeling until reality sets in a day or two - My Tacoma was totalled in a frontal hit in early September (there's a thread on it here if you haven't seen it) I felt like a million bucks that afternoon / evening - except for a major adrenaline rush / shock. Long story short, I suffered some pretty substantial whiplash injury to my neck and upper back, still receiving treatments for that, and improvement is slow, with ups and downs in the process. Hopefully you fare better, but I would not say you are "Fine" until you are sure you are. Those sort of comments could be used against you if you did need to persue an injury claim. Glad you walked away from it in any case.

RIP Phillip the tacoma from Philip the person, it looks like your passenger compartment held up as well as mine did.

About the same as what mine did - there are two holes about 1" diameter in the airbag, so once it's done it's thing, it quickly deflates out of your way.

Looking at the pics again, I'm going to bet on a repair, not a write-off.

I just recently found out the 2011 was an odd-ball year. I test drove a blue '11 TRD Sport before I got my silver and it had the older style gauge cluster that's just red. My 1/11 silver Sport has the later style cluster that you have to reset the maintenance by actually resetting the trip meter instead of doing it like that manual says. I honestly didn't know the honeycomb cluster was '11 specific.I had to pull up a picture of mine to see that yeah, it does in fact have a honeycomb grille.

BTW, you got an extra silver grille?

Glad you're ok. Damn that makes for a shitty day, probably more so for the person you hit.

*If you start to part out I need the rear driver seat hinges, please.
