Looks like they assembled them wrong. Shaft wasn't broken, it was unthreaded and bent inside the housing.

Right, boot is torn. And it's torn from the shock going out so it was cycling like crazy and any bump would push the boot in to the coil. I said ball joint because these are light racing so I have to order a new ball joint through them or buy some total chaos uniballs

The point is I shouldn't have to buy more parts and be out more money because the shock failed. I'm already out another $200 because that was the only way my truck wouldn't sit on jack stands for a month or more. That's who I bought the lift from and the people seem nice but at this point I'm pissed to the point that I'm about to buy another brand from another dealer and never look back. I don't blame anyone for what happened to the shock, that was a defect. But the fact that I'm out another $200, found that the upper control arm boots are shot, and the amount of time it took for me to fix the issue myself, I'm over it. I'm not happy that I spent that much money for a lift that will just get tossed because I don't trust it.

I feel your pain bro. I know nothing about suspension. All I know is that we needed new leaf springs. Except the springs we got would look ridiculous without new coil overs and shocks and like you know, the usual multiple thousands of dollars. There was no way we couldn't spend that much otherwise the shit would look ridiculous!

 

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a Black Friday deal for some real coil overs. The icons are speaking to me but I'd take king or fox too. But I also need to save up for armor.

 

It's looking like I'm gonna be able to pull the trigger on a regear . We pulled out our 6 month old burners off of the boiler and about half of the burner tips are melted slag. Come to find out the company cheaped out and didn't take the advice of the burner company and add the correct valves and gauges that were needed...so we sent the wrong pressures to the wrong burners. Good job. In addition to that, there's talk of having to basically rip the top and bottom of the boiler apart to replace some major components, pending Inspections/Xrays. Good news, I keep having to wipe the dollar signs away from my eyes when they ask if I 'had' Christmas plans...bad news, I have zero free time to do shit lol. :shrug:

 

Not sure who you are, but you may have some solid used leaf springs tomorrow. That's if my TW deductive powers (fueled by mild intoxication) are working correctly.
