The pro "plastic" grille is amazing !
I don't know why but metal grilles don't look right with this truck . Too heavy looking or something

 

It throws off a ton. It does not seem affected by the location behind the grill. I had a chance to use it while camping in Utah last weekend in a dry creekbed/4x4 road after dark. I forgot to get a photo. When I turned off the light it almost felt like only parking lights were on even though the headlights were on. Light housing is solid, seems well made.

 

Yep - bought my 2011 from them back in 2010. I panicked when I heard Toyota put a stop sale on all TRD Pro parts and ended up ordering from a company out of Las Vegas at full price. I just had to have it and he had about 15 in stock so I bit the bullet to get it. Seems people are getting them cheaper now if willing to wait. 5D Light is awesome. no cut off noticed and 5D has spot in center and spread on both sides. Just tested it 4 wheeling at the San Rafael Swell in Utah.

Feel like if you can put some chrome/silver on that mid bar it'll give such a pop.

80206. I called a dealership here in Denver and they claim to have one in stock that's gray to match my truck. I've never heard of that before. Thought they came in black.

 

The part number for the TRD PRO grille insert is

$281 PT228-35170 Toyota Genuine Parts - TRD Pro Grill Tacoma (PT228-35170)

PT228-35170 (53114-YY010) call the dealership back and ask them what part number is on the part they have in stock.

It is possible that it is the complete assembly with the painted surround to match your color.

 

Which dealership? I called Mountain States and they quoted $620 and said it was back ordered and gave me no date. You only need the black grill insert as it snaps into the painted part of the grill on your truck. You don't use the crome trim piece anymore either. P.S. Where is that shot of your truck in Utah. Sweet photo!

 

Thanks jholc21. Do you know what length and wattage that is. I just did a quick search, and see there are definitely a few different versions. Hate to be a copy cat, but that setup looks sweet. I have the same truck and color. Put the grille in day one, and the skid plate on day two! It's a nice ride for sure coming from a 2500HD, it's even nicer to drive then my Impreza was.

 

Thanks - its the 5D Combo spot and wide field. Cali Raised LED just released them. The older 3D and 4D used 3 watt CREE bulbs. this new one uses 5 watt bulbs. It's the 31.5 inch light. You need the brackets too. Also pick up a mic tuning switch as it only comes with a push putton switch that does not match anything.
