    Hey dude.

Wasn't sure if you had an update on that.. but supposedly the guy I quoted called Bilstein and referenced your blown shock and they aired laundry.

I'd hope if they told some random phone chode why your shock may or may not have been denied warranty coverage that they'd have told you a similar story.

Seems questionable AF to me.. particularly the "just say it broke while driving" suggestion, which goes completely opposite of their warranty track record of frequent denial and a month of no shock.

I personally love it. I dont get out a lot with some of the other members here, but when i do i really enjoy the ride. It does ride a little stiff but im used to it. No leaking issues.

I was told that the 6112 was the new one specifically for the 3rd gen. However when I talked to the tech he said it seems like the dampening was the same as far as he could tell. No one else is coming out with a 3rd gen coil over set up, I even called icon and he said it's the same set up.

Yea, the bilstein I ordered the 2nd gen bilstein as the replacements for my 3rd gen because I don't trust them anymore. I definitely had the newest style because the clips were different. All Bilstein did was make the 0 setting sit about a 1/4" higher than the 2nd gen model. Again, after tearing the shock out, I think it was an assembly error because the shaft wasn't even threaded in. As soon as I unbolted the top nut the shaft fell down inside the housing.

they sell replacement boots for the ball joint.it rubbed the coil because the shaft broke on the shock. Ye light racing are a lesser quality compared to TC and other Uni ball designs but for the price they do the job and all the parts are replaceable and cheap. There not built to be on a race truck. And you should of cheeked here for some help from one of us to remove those im sure we could give you a few pointers you may of over looked.

I got the one side done last night. It was a massive pain considering it was dark, I was running out of beer and patience, and my coil compressors weren't holding up well

Don't even attempt it with those spring compressors you have. Use the jack method. Those things are gonna come off or break and cause a lot of damage to the truck or YOU.

Also, I hear @tacomgee will have a set of Camburgs up for sale soon.

i replaced my ball joints and bushing on my light racing UCA @ about 40 k. there not the best but they work. that boot only ripped because it came in contact with the coil. uni balls are nice with the other brands but then you will need to maintain them often.
dont get me wrong if i had the money i would buy some TC UCA's
