Cause wikipedia is an excellent source of information? While all these idiots are getting snorkels to look cool(which they really don't look cool) and to create the false illusion they can go through high water(which is utter bullshit because the door seals will leak, among many other things that will get submerged before the air cleaner), many of the desert dwellers have been running snorkels for years to get the intake up out of the dust. Same reason people with NO fender liners might want one, because without the liner, the tires throw all the dirt and crap up by the intake tube.

If you don't think they are worth it, why are you commenting on this thread and giving us shit? Do we tell you what to spend your doll hairs on? No. So don't tell other people how to spend their money. How do you know what looks cool?

Please excuse me a little as Im a little late to the game here with this, but I don't understand your actual stance here. You seem to flip flop between being a troll about members being antsy about this product and giving the OP credit and then flaming him in other posts. Are you simply here just to piss people off or do you compete with multiple personalities? Either way you are pretty inconsistent.

Some on here might be getting this for more looks than the application, but really who hasn't bought something for their truck for atleast some sort of look perspective? I would bet most have, maybe even you. Regardless, it is their money and investment in this GB. I understand that the OP may not have any power of control of what is going on, but if you are willing to invest your time to get a GB and be on some level the sponsor, I would expect you to try to give a 2 min update atleast weekly if things don't go as expected as it seems here. I don't know Mahalotaco and I have never done business with him, but Im sure like most he is a solid guy. Still, that shouldn't excuse the OP from atleast making an attempt to relay whether there is any info on none at all. That way the buyers can atleast understand that the OP/sponsor is right there with them, instead of getting the false pretense of being thrown under the bus when the issue could very well reside with the manufacturer at this point.

This seems to have already become a sensitive subject for many folks obviously by their continued participation in this thread and probably wish to not be questioned/heckled about why they choose to buy the snorkel. If you have pertinent info to share that is credible, Im sure many would like to hear it, if not no need to just stir the pot. Anyway, thanks for allowing me to try out this "report" option.

You're right. I was thinking about pulling it off and just putting duct tape over the exposed intake inlet. You guys think I'll be OK with that setup? :D

I don't think the mud pit side is any deeper really. It's just mud on the bottom instead of rocks.
