Check out Truxtech, their light bars are great quality and not too expensive. Also when you order a light bar you get a free light bar of the same size or smaller.

Yeah I know I want to put a rigid sr series bar under it but I haven't been able to drop the money on it yet.
    I can't find any errors I like?
Not very hard if you have the right tools a sawzaw works best but you have to start the hole with something else I just took my time and under cut it a little, so I could fit it snug took me about two hours to do both.

eBay is the cheep route all the light bars that people like trucktech sale are just cheep light bars from eBay. There are only two real light bar companies (rigid industries) and (baja designs) they are pricey but worth it.

Auxbeam and opt7 have been good to me. The opt7 c2 bars are actually pretty impressive compared to other ebay bars.

tbh even the cheapest ebay bars these days work pretty damn good. quality in the past couple years have skyrocketed. id never dish out the cash for rigid, vision x, baja designs, etc...

Amazon has tons of choices for brands and lengths. For my "family friendly" budget, this is the way I went.

Kind of expanded on 2stroketrush's idea with the roof basket (which I love btw thanks for the recommendation).

    IMG_5534.jpg

Used some bull bar clamps to mount my 30" LED bar, looking for ways to mount my floodlight pods to the sides of the basket so I'll let y'all know when I figure that out

How long have you had your Amazon light bar? And what brand & length? I only ask because I paid $68 for 42" Orion light bar from Amazon and mounted it across the windshield. It was fine for the first 2 years but now it's gets condensation in it when I wash my truck. So I need to find another bar that won't break the bank. It seems like you take your chance when you buy a bar no matter where you buy it from. It's the warranty that helps. My light bar still works great and is bright as hell! But you can see condensation in it after every wash. Unlike my 22" bar that I got from cali_raised_led on the front of my TG bumper. No problems whatsoever. Same with my pods that I got from digidiodes.com. I guess I bought the wrong brand off of Amazon.

Mine is a 20" Nilight I bought for $30. Just put it on a little over a week ago, so I have no idea on how it will hold up.

I will say that it is a very solid unit and seems well made. Not sure if I should go ahead and put on extra silicone sealant as others have suggested just in case.

FINALLY got around to reinstalling my bumper lights in place of signals. Were much harder this time around. Nothing seemed to wanna line up the way I wanted it to. They are a TOTAL pain to install. Ended up being pointed down too much, but might be able to fix that later. Had the valence off this time around. Work great as ditch lights/ additional side lighting as they are angled out a bit from the curve of the bumper. Eventually I'll be getting a plate bumper so won't have to deal with that crap again. Took me all freaking day.. Ended the night out prowling a bit.:spy:

Oh, and I always try to opt for the clones. Obviously the real deals are gonna be better... My 42" up top (vision x Evo Prime clone) is starting to haze badly. I've been trying to keep it clean with plast-x. But it's not helping much anymore. I am contemplating taking the lens out and trying to find a shop to cut me a new one. But I may just swap it out entirely for two of these 20" double rows up top, heh. Would have to figure out how to attach them at the middle tho. Probably a set of threaded studs. Or some kinda custom bracket.

Yeah isn't that ridiculous? A lot of companies don't. Such as GGlighting & Rago Fabrication. They say if they had a 1st gen Tacoma to use as R&D they would make them. They just need a 1st gen Tacoma for a week or so to mount and make brackets for. I live in N. CA or else I'd sacrifice my truck for a week so we could get 1st gen brackets. But @eazycompany on IG has some great mounts. No ditch bracket mounts for 1st gens though. Both GGlighting & Caliraisedled, are farther south and I'm sure would welcome a 1st gen so they could make brackets. Rago Fabrication is in Texas so if anyone w/ a 1st gen around there should contact them. Somebody has to have a 1st gen in at least 1 of these locations so that we can get brackets. Plus you'd probably get your set for free. So there is an incentive!
