Love my JBA UCAs. Greasable. Beefy. Better alignment... RED :)

My only issue with JBA? START MAKING LOWERS!

Right now our only options are moog...oem..or the sky high pricing of dirt king or total chaos.... :(

If he would make +3.5" long travel uppers and lowers... ohhhhhhhhhhhhooohoo... I'd be all over that.

Edit: But then again, uniballs are better for those kinds of forces.

Estimate on time of release? I'd sign my truck up for R&D if I wasn't on the other side of the country. They would look nice in JBA red with name plates reading "JBA OffRoad."

Sounds good. That's around the time I plan on having everything altogether for the install, so it'll be nice if someone is able to bring a more affordable option to the table.

Are they going to be compatible with most 8" LT coilovers? Or will they be proprietary to the 10" ORIs?

I wanted to post the outcome of my situation with the JBA UCAs...
Marlin, the owner, issued an immediate and total refund upon receiving the returned UCAs. I had requested that he not send new arms because I have had bad experiences with other disreputable manufacturers in the past and so asked for a refund. What I asked for was against his written policies but he was kind enough to facilitate my request without hesitation.
I have been trained in customer service by AT&T, Toyota, and Daimler Chrysler at the corporate management level and must say that Marlin is at the top of his game with regards to treating his customers right.
Although I do not know what caused the defect in my UCAs, I am confident that he will use them to determine the cause and rectify the concern. This means that his product will be an even better one.
If you are wanting to buy his products, I would recommend giving him a try. He will treat you with respect.

I will put up a WTB post later but figured this is a good thread to grab attention. I'm looking for a used or new set of JBA arms, the 2nd revision ones where clearance around the spring tower was improved. I do not need the HC high caster ones. So if you have a set, PM me. Oh, and yes I did speak with Marlin.

Hey @Blackout14, Marlin ever mention the possibility of a black Friday sale? I'm wanting a set of the HD arms.

Also the new rebuildable balljoints look amazing! Really cool stuff! With their release I'm not considering any other UCA when I finally upgrade.

Wasn't he also working on pivot bushings? How's that going?

Been reading this thread off and on for a couple months now as I close in on the details of my upcoming suspension upgrade, which is basically King extended travel.

From what I can tell, the new high-caster standard arms work successfully, and well, with a King 2.5 extended travel setup. I'm running 4.5 backspace with SCS F5s, and a mild tire size with Cooper ST Maxx 265/75-16 (actual 32 as measured), I don't see any concern with interference or rubbing.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone else who is running this same King setup.

Interestingly, I just stumbled across this nugget on the JBA site. A very HD rebuildable balljoint that is a direct replacement, and upgrade, for the Moog k6292 used in the Tacoma UCAs.
    http://jbaoffroad.com/jba-upper-ball-joint-k6292.html

I won't be getting these, but I think it will be interesting to see how the Moogs perform over time, and if anyone opts to swap these bas boys in as a replacement. Has anyone had an issue with the Moog k6292s yet?

    1. Thanks.
    2. I cannot understand the second part of that sentence regarding bushings. Sounds like you are channeling Borat there. I was wondering about poly bushing for these. What's going on there? Be nice if I could do that upon first install.

Well yeah, why don't you talk to him about that, nudge nudge, wink wink. I am sure most everybody would be interested, and even willing to pay a little more if necessary.

I just left him a VM asking about the poly bushings, and also asking if he can ship the UCAs with the ball joints uninstalled (but included separately) to make it easier for me to paint and not have to source fresh locknuts (I assume that's what he has on there) if I were to R&R the BJ myself for painting. I just don't need my suspension looking like a baboon's ass under there. IYKWIM.

Yah, no. With blue Kings. I even have an issue with blue Kings, but not sure it is a "here's an extra couple hundred dollars to make them mostly black" issue. Bright colors are for boys at the mall looking to get their first piece of quim.

When I discovered mine, I was walking straight toward my truck from a distance and thought, what dog would go under my truck like that and crap out such a shiny, greasy shit...uh....oh....shit.

Follow up, Marlin got back to me and left a message within a couple hours.
Yes, they are in the process of switching over to elastomer bushings.
Yes, they have some unassembled stock that they could put the new bushings into.
Yes, they can ship with the ball joint uninstalled and separate.

I'm a fan of yes, yes, yes.

I'll be ordering these soon. The first thing I'll be doing is scuffing them up and painting them black. The red is terrible but that's an easy problem to solve. He really does need to start offering color options, I don't want a rainbow under my truck. Everything gets painted black other than my Bilstein 5100 shocks. That's the only thing I left as they came.

If I had a red truck I'd probably leave it. My truck is MGM with even darker gray rims. The red would look terrible IMO Looking at my truck from the side, the whole control arm is exposed so it would stand out like crazy.
