Looks like he deleted it for some reason...weird...
Anyway he took a scope ring, flipped it over, and clamped it on in front of the turret. Then he took a scope base like 2" long ( looked like a weaver but a picatinney would prolly work too) and clamped it into the inverted ring. Thru this base he drilled a hole large enough to accommodate a bolt that is the same size as a tripod has on it which he attached to the base with a nut with the threads facing up. Voila u can mount a camera to the top of the scope just like on a tripod

IMG_0913.jpg IMG_0961.jpg Got this guy this morning. Might have let him walk if he wasn't on a dead run and it was a split second decision. Didn't have time to count him as he was on a dead sprint and coming out of a pine thicket. Had a tiny window to shoot. Thought I missed, didn't find any blood for the first 50 yards. The ballistic tip .30-06 rounds do some damage...after the first 50 yards there was plenty of blood to follow.

Went and scouted some new areas for duck season this winter.. Waiting for the weather to get crappier (or better depending on which way you look at it) for the birds to start flying here :(

Just got home after spending 2.5 weeks in SD hunting pheasant and ducks. $121 for waterfowl tag and got drawn in the lottery plus $25 for duck stamp, but no ducks there either. Need the snow to push them down from Canada but too late for us. Pheasant numbers were way down, hail this spring and drought put a hurting on them. But enough birds for the pup to learn how to hunt them and a pleasure watching him grow and learn in his hunting skills. Had a fantastic time as always! Already looking forward to next year.

Better to ask what I have not done.
It was a great year for deer! Hiked around the mountian chasing a bachelor heard for three days and then getting ready to go out on the fourth day stopped and glasses around for a bit off the porch and spotted a 2x2 and was more then happy to fill with that and right before i pulled the trigger my 5x4 came over the ridge. Ended up dropping him at 330yds, the does with him stuck around after the shot so we stood there for a bit and zach turned and looked off to the side and here comes another buck right for the does.... zach put him down at 209yds. Both are 5x4's and i am So happy to have dropped them at the ranch so i did not have to play pack mule... :D IMG_6373.jpgIMG_6223.jpgIMG_6337.jpg
This one cracks me up just the way they are looking at you. IMG_6372.jpg
