Eep. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of that. The flex pod uses the existing screws on the steering column to mount, which I feel is a cleaner installation. But if this Perrin works better, then it might be worth drilling holes in the upper cover.

I did buy the flex pod originally but it did not fit the innovate gauges. So I returned the flex pod and this was the next best thing I could find. Really like the simplicity of the flex pod and the mounting. Could have ordered the 60mm cups but would have to figure out a way to hold my 52mm gauges. So I just decided against the flex pod and will drill a few holes in the cover. Not a big deal to me. This should work just fine. This was the only other option I liked. I'll definitely post more pictures when I get the gauges in.

I remember your experience with the FlexPod. I'm interested to see how your Perrin looks with the gauges. :)

My boost gauge is coming tomorrow. I'll get some pictures of it mocked up tomorrow or Saturday. Hopefully it all fits. I'm running out of likable options.

anyone use an Ultragauge or Scangauge to track fuel psi? i meant to mess with mine last night. it would be interesting to check pressure before and after a fuel pump upgrade. i will check the settings on my ug this weekend.

I don't have any yet-but is that due to the fact that I am having y'all install the pulley?

Yes I have 2 (including yours) that needs a pulley install. URD just called me back yesterday and should be shipping us the install tool. Should be done early next week or mid-week.

To the lucky SOBs that already have their goodies and are doing the install: :cookiemonster:

Question on the BD Tuner - I looked through the instructions and it says to connect a >10A battery charger

Is this really necessary? Or is there a just minimum voltage threshold to keep above? Seems to me a fresh battery that keeps a healthy voltage >12V should be all that is required...

I haven't installed mine yet (doing it tomorrow), but the reason they say that is because any time you are flashing an ECU it needs to be at a healthy voltage. If the voltage goes too low the ECU can get bricked. I do ECU updates for a dealer. I've seen ECUs get fried because the tech didn't follow the procedure (using a power supply). If you are comfortable trusting a $150 battery to protect a $1000+ ECU then I say go ahead and raw dog it.

Better safe than sorry, though. If you can't afford a charger, just buy one at Walmart and return when you're done with it. Even more so, if you can't afford a battery charger don't buy a supercharger, haha.
