Swapped steering racks, replaced the hydraulic lines, bled the system, and eyeballed an aligment all in under 3 hours. Not bad. Turns out I blew a seal in the pump too though. So I ordered the rebuild kit from Toyota, should be in tomorrow.


Old rack is far to the left. My spare rack is in the middle and the new Autozone is far right

Is that black cladding on the side? Or did someone beeline over the paint? Otherwise it looks pretty clean. Those are 2008 4Runner limited wheels

What year? I got mine with 192k miles, a toytec lift, new water pump/timing belt, 33s with 16 rims, new ball joints all for 6k. You can do better IMO. And mines also a limited so all the upgrades features.

@swalters Did you still want to know how bright the LED halos are when the lights are also on? I took a vid last night of lights on and blinker going in case you still did. I remember you asked somewhere in the TRS thread but I couldn't quickly find it today.

 

Hey thanks man! I was asking about it for Aaron because when he gets a bumper he might need the switchback halos for his turns.

So went to have my deavers put on and my rear shocks are too short. So I will have to by custom leangth rears. On another note I will most likely be selling my rear king shocks in December or the first of January. They are 2.5 king smoothies with a piggybacks they have about 200 miles of trails on them. Not sure what I will sell them for. But probably around $700

 

Do you know what size you need extended/collapsed lengths?

 

Got it for 7.5k. Have to remember. It's Colorado so clean older yotas carry a premium.
