What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

It'll be going back on the truck on Monday. I've almost finished respraying the clear coat. Tomorrow will be bedlining the raw fiberglass interior. I think it looks pretty good on there too

I would. If I were to do it again I wouldn't have gotten a TRD and put an ARB in the back. That being said it will cost you more, but if you're regearing anyways it will be the perfect time to toss it in.

That shackle looks close to going inverted in the last pic.

 

What sizes are the two batteries? Looks like one might be 34/78.

I see the BlueSea fuse block, are you also using something like a BlueSea ML-ACR to manage the batteries?

 

It was certainly getting close, I didn't have any weight in the bed at all. But these leaf packs could certainly do with a couple less leafs too, they are a bit stiff. That said I didn't lift a tire today.

 

Redtop optimas and the right one was for o4 tacoma and left one a little larger, I bought on sale for 150 from 4wheelparts. My son said it is for a chevy lol. It is a little stronger, therefore I would have preferred it to be the auxilliary, it would not fit. No I do not have any monitoring system or an LED wired to Pac200 isolator. Here is a pic of my rear seat replaced with a custom chest.

Nice storage space! I've been wanting to do something similar but I've only gotten a far as taking out the back seat, a year ago.

Added Dakar leaf springs and some toytec adjustable shackles for the rear.
Also took advantage of that Wet Okole group buy. Heated option included, works great on these cold Canadian mornings...

I don't like re-manufactured stuff such as starter and alternators. Even though I got a rebuilt alternator, I'm pretty sure it'll last decently long since it was rebuilt by denso.

Plastidipped the whole truck minus the grill (have a new one going on soon). My truck has a shit ton of rock chips from prior owner and the roof isnt looking to good, wanted to cover it up for the winter. Have plans on getting it painted sometime in the next couple years so i figured this would suffice for now.

 

Wow badass truck. I thought I would keep the spare where it is, although I would preferr bfg 255/85/16 and want to believe I will be able to squeeze it in. Originally I was considering an auxiliarty fuel tank where the spare is, but i have decided to fabricate a tank, and place it between wheel wells in bed not to rise above or extend below. I need the bed for a atv. Tomorrow I am installing a heat exchanger I fabricated for hot showers in the field.

 

The black dip is amazing. How do I get it done?

Totes, with the Dakar leaf package, were you able to center the rear axle/tire into wheel well? I noticed you are wearing leathers, I road-raced Daytona, Talledaga, Road Atlanta and the rest of the SE race series years ago.
