Dual to single exhaust advice

    I bought a dual flowmaster thunder full catback exhaust and wondering if i can cap one side of the muffler and run it single.. is this good or bad?

    It's kind not either way. It will more than likely create more backpressure in the system. If you can afford to, buy a new super 40 that is single exit and reuse the old tail pipe.

    Thankx,, but is it okay to run it for a while untill i can purches another muffler, or will it affect my engine?

    I would say no, but I'm am not a Toyota engineer. What size are the tailpipes? If one is equal to the same size as stock then I wouldn't worry about it.

    You won't blow anything up.

    Its possible power and mpg could take a hit. Or not. That part you'll find out later

    can you do it in such a way that its only temporary? Then you can run a couple tanks of gas through it and see how it goes then decide if you want to uncap it or not.
