It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
16s ate too small for some UCAs and the brake caliper will knock off weights if they are in the wrong place

Depends on how big the tire is lol 40s wrapped around 20s would be cushy

He's saying with certain 16s, they won't clear the brake caliper or certain UCAs. Most ones do though

17's are fine. It's all just personal preference. IMG_7469.jpg

I have not done the math and will assume both offroad and sport tires are the same height. This means the speedometer reading is the same regardless of the tire being used. The offroad tire has a higher percentage of rubber in height so it has more flexibility...better for bumps. The sport has a lower percentage of rubber in height so it has less flexibility...better for turning quickly as it limits the truck's lean.

Don't even worry about the different characteristics between 16" vs 17" wheels. You won't be able to tell the difference. Tire selection is far more important. Get the proper tire in the proper load rating, regardless of 16" or 17" rim size.

IMG_2495.jpg 0 issues with 17s. Really just personally preference on what size you wanna run. But there are more options with 17s i.e. Load ratings and wheels options. Noticed that in the pass few years offroad wheel companies have started slowly swaying away from 16" wheels for some reason

I went with 17's for the cheaper tires I was looking at. Similar sidewall profile compared to factory wheel/tire setup.

I have 16" now but going with 17" for the next step with SCS wheels. Longer wait for 16". Trying to decide which tire to pair with them.

Body roll is more influenced by your suspension set up rather than tires. You swap a Sport's tire/wheels over to an OR and it's still going to have the same amount of body roll as before.

thanks going with bronze ray 10's not available on that thread but nice to know. May just stick with 17 but keep debating on 16. Going for the truck to be setup for offroad but will not see heavy use.

I did the opposite of you and switched from 17s to the 16s SCS. LOVE the 16s paired with a 285. Looks real mean with all that sidewall.

yah that is partially what I am thinking. Did you run 285 with the 17s? Seen a few photos with folks with 285 and its still a lot of sidewall.
