Anyone use a harbor freight wheel balancer and balance their own tires? I'm sick of paying shops to do. Half assed job and wasting half my day waiting for things to get done, so I'm trying to do more of my own work. I bought the balancer, need to find some weights, will install the tires on my own and see how it goes, just looking for tips from someone who may have already done it.

Regular balancing not doing the trick? I might use beads also since I'm sure i'all screw up static balancing.

Bubble balancer.

 

They work well once you get the hang of them, but expect to throw a lot of wheel weights and do a lot of cursing until you get the knack.
Are you going to be using sticky weights or hammer-on weights?

I already warned my wife of the profanity that will echo from the basement when I try this hair brained idea out. I'm using stick on weights.
