Here you go. Super simple janky mod, but it solved my whistling problems.

2014 ACLB here, 32k miles on it.
I get the sound thats in the videos, NOT a whistle. A buzzing/vibrating/kazoo sound, from the mirror/leading or top of door edge. Happens above 70mph or so

Have an appointment with the dealer on Monday, see what comes of it. Of course, like most everyone, can't duplicate the sound without winds so I've take some video as well.

Yes, mine was more like a kazoo sound rather than a "whistle". Your dealer will probably give you the run around and simply say that they cannot do anything since they cannot replicate the sound, as mine did for several visits before I stirred the pot enough to get corporate involved. Take a video while driving when it happens or show them the videos on this thread. Ask for the vehicle to be brought in the next time Toyota's corporate engineer does a visit - if your dealership doesn't know a fix, the corporate engineer will have a whole database documenting the issue. That kazoo sound is enough to drive someone insane, and even more insane after realizing you spent $30,000 on a new vehicle...

Video is the only way around the "we couldn't replicate it" BS. Of course you couldn't because, as I explained, it only happens over 70 and with a cross wind.... They're all aware of it, but act like we're crazy.

Mine was a kazoo noise as well. Seriously, just shove something in the weather stripping where the sound is coming from and go test it out.

Yep. I cut a small slot in the weatherstrip and fed in some crankcase vent tubing across the top. Hasn't returned.

my 2013 did that when I first bought it new. it would happen when I got over like 40 miles per hour and the wind was pretty strong. the wind would hit the right spot I could push on and make it stop but it was annoying to do that after a while. I told the dealership about it when I went in for the first oil change. the guys at the dealer said it was a door weather stripping was not properly installed. they took it and replaced both front door weather stripping. never heard the noise again. mine was under warranty at the time. so I think it may be a common thing for 2013's

So... I took this idea to a slightly different level. I thought about it and decided to simply use some clothesline rope instead of grocery bags. Installation took about 5 minutes per side, and after a test drive (at ~80 over a mountain with a fairly strong crosswind - no noise! It is only one test drive, but I made the same run this morning prior to the rope, and the noise was nearly constant. Since I used cotton rope, I will monitor for wetness, and replace it with nylon if necessary.

Just left the dealer and back home. Nothing was done except wasted fuel. I had multiple videos of it too.
They wouldn't order a new door seal for fear of it "coming back"...ghey! Called it "normal" and claim it happens on a lot of vehicles, not just Tacoma's. Even tried blaming my vent shades, but it happened before that.
Said they need more complaints to even consider a TSB. So, get your asses off here and to the dealer so it can be documented and something can be done about it. They only have a TSB for 05-07 and 09-12, I believe.

FWIW mine was the windshield. When I pushed on the windshield around the top the kazoo noise would change or stop. If you have the same just follow the 05-07 TSB. A little windshield silicone sealant applied very neatly where the glass meets the body around the sides and top (lift the rubber and slide across while applying a very small bead as you go).Did it 6 months ago and haven't heard it since. Good Luck as I leave this thread now.

Yes, that's what I warned you about! I had mine in and out of the dealership many times between the door seal issue and defective driver seats. You just have to complain enough, ask for a manager, involve corporate, etc. Personally I found the vent shades made things better, yet they wanted to try blaming them as the cause / contributing factor.

The reason why I went through the dealership was because no one on here really knew a solution at the time. Many were blaming their windshield or mirrors as the cause, which clearly wasn't the issue in my situation. I would try adding the tubing as others suggested, as that seems to work great, and is easy enough to DIY.

Mine is fixed. Used the tubing fix on my door mentioned in previous posts. Drove from AZ to MT with some pretty serious winds - no noise!

Update... I'm declaring this a success. No more noise. Fixed in 5 minutes (per side) with about $0.50 worth of clothesline.

EDIT: 2 weeks later... I just got home from a 100 mile drive up I81 in Virginia. Very windy today, and I noticed it does still make the noise. But at a greatly decreased volume, and only when both speed and cross wind were excessive.

About to try this. Dealer couldn't figure it out. They drove it and couldn't replicate the sounds but it only happens to me when I go over 90 or going into strong winds so I didn't tell them that haha
