Everything LEGO thread!

He's seven come January.

 

Mine's 8 - will be 9 later this month. He's allowed to play with all my old stuff from when I was a kid. Even the classic space sets, but with the understanding that he's not to dismantle them.

 

In the end they are simply just toys. Sounds like @HomerTaco has the right idea. You can teach him the "right" way to play with them and show him how much it means to you. Maybe then he'll respect them as much as you do.

 

Holiday sets that came in today.

 

Yeah, that's the same rule we have right now. But being smart and a tinkerer like his old man I know that he's going to start to break stuff down to figure out how it went together. Luckily I have digital copies of all the set guides from when I was a kid until now so whatever set it is, it can go back together. My stress comes from all of the custom 9v train stuff that I had to hit up Bricklink to get the bulk pieces for. I was never very good with L-Draw so I don't have any solid custom set inventories or assembly plans. Hopefully I 'll get a chance to reinstall it all again soon and go back at it.

I kinda blew his mind when I whipped out the old idea books from back in the day and some of them still had all of their stickers in them.

My TC-4 minifig arrived today. I have the 2014 and 2015 Star Wars advent calendars in the mail still.

 

I saw in brickset that the new Lego batman movie sets are popping up. I like how some look.

 

Missed that... Next set is the Assembly Square for me.

 

I am 100% getting that along with the VW bus before I miss out.

So I picked up a few more packs of the Disney CMF packs. I got 6 that I didn't have, Alice, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Mickey, Minnie and the 3 eyed alien guy. So I'm missing 5 for the set.

 

Here they are.

 

We got the mermaid and the alien from toys but that's all from that set. Saw the Castle set @ the Lego store last week - pretty effing big!

 

If you remotely like Disney you should get some. I mainly got them for my wife, but I wanted Aladdin and the Genie for myself.

 

So I went back and was able to find 4 of the 5 figures I needed to finish the Disney cmf set. I just need Donald Duck. I'm pretty happy I was able to get the set nearly.

You can find them at Target. They will be located in the under $5 stocking stuffer section. It took me a few trips to different Targets to find them in stock.

 

Well I finally ordered the Holiday Train set. I saved it till this past weekend to get the Snow Globe. I'll post pictures when it comes in.
