I have a buddy that has a 70 inch lg. he paid soooooo much money for this thing because it is HDR with 3D and it is one of the worst pictures I've ever seen. so much bleed through, if there was anything white or lighter on the screen it would make anything black look terrible and washed out. I didn't have the heart to tell him his tv looked like shit when he was so proud of it.

It really depends on what you like. I personally wanted a more natural looking picture with the best motion clarity (think of that as a refresh rate, higher the number smoother the picture). For those, sony is the best choice. Sony has a motion clarity of 960 compared to samsung or lg 240. I feel personally, the colors on the Sony are more natural and lifelike. Samsung has gotten better with their colors from last year I still feel the greens and reds are overly bright. once again, that's how I feel.

I also prefer the android operating system compared to samsung operating system, tizen.

All in all, it depends on the picture you want and like. I can tell you everything you need to know about all three brands as I have been working in home theater for best buy for 2 years now.

    Oleds are killer, but expensive.

That's because it has an ips panel. upside to ips panels is almost flawless viewing from edge to edge. downside is you get the light blooming where the picture is more of a washed out black than it is black.

Any of you guys with a Google home yet? Can't figure out how to connect it with my Honeywell thermostat.

No google home for me. I was reading somewhere that not all honeywell thermostats are supported yet. Nest and Honeywell were going after each other legally for awhile before the home release which may of caused a delay in getting Honeywell support for google home.

Also, fuck honeywell thermostats. Nest FTW. (I have a honeywell, not by choice).

I've had both nest and honeywell thermostats
I've had 4 honeywells fail. Not one nest has failed. Their software is crap. Interface is garbage. The day nest supports my ac system my honeywell goes into the trash.

My house came with a Honeywell, it's been going strong for at least 3 years I don't know how long they had it prior to us, but it's worked fine with no failures.

My ac unit can I only run one model of honeywell thermostats and its one of their nicer ones. I hate it. Plus honeywell support is crap vs nest. For months I was working with nest development team to try and run tests on my ac system. I wasnt able to get honeywell to even replace their broken shit.

I was just telling Aaron maybe we can sell the honeywell and get a nest to avoid this delay

The nest is an awesome thermostat. I have 2 at my cabin. No issues. Plus the learning feature is really nice.

Do you work at best buy too?

I have had a Honeywell for about 2 years. been perfect. contemplated switching to nest though, they are so clean looking.

It's way sexy and full of great features. I miss the ability to adjust my thermostat with my watch using voice commands.
