    None yet.
I'm thinking about swapping my engine out for a cumins 4bt series 3.9 Deisel engine. I want to use my Toyota 5Speed Auto Transmision 4x4 for the swap. Does anyone here know if the the tranny will accept the engine or not.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
    Check out the Cummins 2.8.

Give Advanced Adaptors a call. I believe if they do not have it, they can make it.

How are you going to get DMV/cali smog clearance to do this?

And do you know what a complete running 4.0L block with 35K miles would sell for in cali?

I've had the same idea since I purchased my truck new off the lot....

I drove my buddy's brand new tesla S the other day and that drivetrain would be pretty sweet to have in my truck, especially with the 260 mile range

Chevy engine to toyota tranny and transfer case? I doubt it. If switching to diesel I'd want a better tranny anyways. Toyota tranny is good but mixed in with diesel wouldn't last long in my opinion but I don't know alot about diesels

You think that your truck would experience a 260 mile range if you swapped that gear into your pickup...?

I would be happy with a solid, reliable 100 mile electric range

Here in cali we pay the highest gas prices in the country and have some of the worst fuel eating traffic.

there's got to be a way for me to get better than 16.2 mpg out of my truck but I can't figure it out

Trade it in then. You'll never experience much more than that for mileage in one of these trucks, especially in stop-and-go traffic. They just aren't built for mileage. The cost of making a swap of any kind will eat up ALL potential "savings" you would experience with a more efficient powerplant.

You can be really gentle on that skinny pedal in the meantime to help encourage better mileage. My opinion though is that if you super concerned about the money being spent to drive a particular vehicle, there is a chance that you might own the wrong mode of transportation.

And that 260 mile range in his tesla is in a car that does 0-60 in 3sec

I'm pretty sure it's possible to tone that down and use the load handling capabilities and space in a truck to get a larger battery in play

I wish it was that easy but I have a small boat I need to tow and a motorcycle

My first choice was a double cab dodge Cummins (what most of my friends have) but it was too big to park in our shitty small parking spots here and full size trucks get door dinged to death

I think I'm pretty much stuck with what I have
