Just a bunch of old crap
I put my new Jersey Built hubs on this weekend, and DAMN what a difference! I guess 220,000 miles really DOES wear out your bearings .

Just wanted to give a shoutout to @nj636 on providing a great service and great product which saved me tons of time and hassle. And thanks for expediting my order in time for the project. My 10 year old truck rolls like new again.

Many thanks to Kevin, I got my hubs Saturday at 11:30, went and got some new brake pads, loaner tool of the torque wrench and 35mm socket, started working at 1:30 was done at 5:00. Actually spent more time trying to get the new brake pads in, those pins are a bitch to move back when they are all rusty. I can't believe how quiet my truck is now. It sounds just as good as my gf's new car. Amazing being able to ride with my radio at less than half volume and not need to turn it up to get over the roar that I had been listening to for almost a year. I just thought it was my tires before because they were so worn. Shop wanted 930 just for the bearings, so I spent less than 400 on hubs and brake pads, and a bottle of liquor for my friend to help. Awesome Saturday.

Wow i believe $930 is a record! I think these shops over price the job because they don't want to do it.

I'm glad you did the job yourself -- only a few bolts more when replacing the brakes.

    Thank you for the review

I seriously don't understand that sometimes. Having never done it before, the first one I changed out took me maybe an hour tops, and that was with checking instructions often and taking my time. Even with parts, I wouldn't put a hub change over $500

I try to do as much as I can myself. Since I don't have a flat driveway and not knowing how easy it is to replace the hub, I asked the mechanic that has worked on my old truck how much? He said $90 labor, and let me watch how to do it. I have more than that it tools I had bought to do it.

Short of engine work, if you understand the basics, you can pretty much work on anything suspension related on these trucks and not a reach a point of no return that you can't go back to stock on. Unless you brought a grinder and/or a welder to the party, then there might be a problem lol

Myself Included, I hate seeing people pay outrageous labor prices for something that bolts on lol. When someone gets a quote for 2 hours on something that takes me less than an hour it really makes me scratch my head

I may be needing these quicker than i thought. I have a squealing (with a small 'howling') sound coming from my front right. Has anybody experienced a squeal sound like this??

Mine didn't squeal, it just hummed louder as it got colder outside.
