    I thought about after I posted the pictures if you use a rod holder that recessed so the pole slides into like this onerod holder.jpg were the yellow line is you can use a metal rod and make a 90 degree bend on one end and drill a hole in the other end and place a lock that will secure your rods and reel from theft.
