    i had a 2001 tacoma and Toyota replaced the frame for free..sold the truck a couple years ago but everything was a clusterfuck of rust underneath that truck,,,im shocked to hear they still havent corrected the issue..its like Toyota WTF!..just bought a 2012 tacoma and i hope i wont have to deal with poor rust treatment on this one..

    Well, it's good to see the people here with perforated frames after the 3/31/16 deadline have some hope now and aren't stuck with a 10 year old truck that won't pass inspection, being basically a giant paperweight.

    There was a mother on TW, that said her son just bought a 2005 and 2 months later it didn't pass inspection because of a perforation, so I hope her son still has his truck and will get a new frame. She contacted a lawyer in Arkansas to start a class action lawsuit and might be one of the states in that article.

    That's good news. I've been out of the country for a year and half and didn't even know about that deadline. When I get back next month I'm going to get my truck checked.
