yea with the intake right behind the grill...i dont do water haha. if its questionable, i will either bypass or just not be the first one through. that sucks getting hydrolocked!

i have a feeling stuff out west is going to be a different kind of wheeling from the jagged/rocky Ky,TN,GA wheeling...i cant wait to get out there haha

 

Being a long bed you'll have a disadvantage at some spots. I know one in the south loop is pretty damn tight, I haven't been back yet since I grew 5 more inches per side so it'll be interesting to see how I do as well. There are 2 hills that were hard but other than that you could pretty much do it all in 2wd before they redid the trails.

 

Ive lived with it the past 5 yrs haha....and learned how to make it work, it has also come to my advantage in spots as well

Are there groups out there that go on annual or monthly meets or anything? I havnt dived too much into researching events out there yet. I know I like to go on monthly rides and camping out (as for the camping, preferably NOT in the rain haha)

 

In the summer there are. I try to do Tahuya once a year in June since its a good place to introduce wheeling to people. Other than that there are snow wheeling trips in the winter and wheeling trips in the summer. Usually its just someone posts "hey anyone want to go out this weekend? Thinking about going up ____" and see if you get interest. There are also organized runs that people will plan out a few weeks in advance.

 

Its around 9th and Henderson or just east of Westwood village. Sounds like the truck exactly with the KC fogs but has a shell now.

 

Not how it went on my truck! Circlip that holds the inboard axle just would not budge. Pried, used a slide hammer, did both at the same time, nearly pulled the truck off the jack stands, and, nothing. Very disappointing mechanical performance on my part, but as it is my DD, I had to get it back together so I can get to work tomorrow.

 

Hey guys hope you're having a great weekend. I apologize for thread jacking a bit, but my dirt bike was stolen right out of my truck bed on 11/09/2016 in Bellingham WA. I've made a police report, but I'm sure it's hard for them to find stolen dirt bikes. I figured the off road community might be able to help.

It is a 2009 Honda CRF150R with white/black plastics. It has a loose skid plate due to a stripped bolt on the right side and a slight tear on the back right side of the seat.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here is one of the tight spots in tahuya.... took some pushing by everyone to get around the tree... the guys that went with the shorter wheelbase had no issues. The 4runner,fj, first Gen taco and jeep. The 2nd Gen and 2nd Gen long bed had to make a 10 point turns

 

So like, I remove CVs like an average of once every 3 months it seems lol. I've used a slide hammer? Just a big chisel wedge on one of the CV notches and hammered it out. Literally takes like 3 taps...

 

If I had to do it again I'd do the same with a thick cold chisel like you said....then just tap the ring back to shape

Yea, we had a good turnout that run. 9 trucks I think. Lots more rocks now over there...Idk if people will jump on another run.. we did a lot of bypassing to easy lines....a lot were hesitant to bump their trucks.... I will probably go back end of Dec or beginning of jan.

 

Why would the dust shield get messed up?

 

My experience with Tahuya is that it is deceptively "easy" until it isn't...
I have yet to do Evans creek or Surprise lake, etc but I hear more carnage at Tahuya.
