    95 percent of my driving is on road. The other 5 is only going to be large logging roads that are pretty smooth. It's definitely been a stressful decision. If I had to trim a little of the inner fender I wouldn't be upset but I just don't wanna have serious rubbing when just driving on the road.

    That's right where I'm at, 2" front 1" rear, and I have a slight hum/vib/growl from my front Driver CV. When I say slight I mean you can only hear it on an ultra smooth road with the radio off. If you go under your truck, grab the Driver CV Shaft on the differential end, you will see how much play it has. Surprising that this has been an issue since 95'.

    I'm sensitive to sounds and vibration, but I just don't worry about it.

    Installing a diff drop with your lift may help with the noise and vibration. Helps correct the CV angles.

    I guess I'm just gonna have to pull the trigger and hope for the best. Hopefully atleast it won't rub badly.

    Be sure to post pictures and your results once done. What tires are you going with?

    I saw this as I was looking for similar setups as what I'm hoping to run. I thought that 885s with the ome shocks only gave you 1.5in. Just wanna make sure I'm getting my facts straight

    I thought it went (on ome shocks)
    885=1.5
    887=2.0
    888=2.5
    On 16 and 17 tacomas

    None of the OME coils other than the 888 coils are "made" for the 2016 so in general they offer about 1" less lift than they do on the 05-15 The only coil designed for the 2016 is the 888 which on a Bilstein shock set to 0 ends up at about 3" That's what i'll be going with up front soon.

    887 and 888 are identical spring rate. 888 is 5mm taller. Might be 10mm, can't remember exactly

    Correct, 5mm taller. They'll all work on the 16 however they will not offer as much lift as they do on the 05-15 from what I understand.

    887 400mm
    888 405mm

    5mm spring equates to 10mm of lift. You understand how miniscule that is?

    Yes between the 887 and 888 cool there is a marginal difference. My point is the 887 coil on a 2005-1015 will gain more lift than it will on a 2016-2017 so the advertised lift is not exactly right when being used on a 3rd gen.

    You implied earlier that the 887 would get at least 1" less lift than the 888 because it is used on the 2nd gen.

    You ever going to lift your truck or just post about it forever?

    LOL my truck is lifted the same height or higher than yours actually. Maybe you're right, maybe I should have listed the 887 and 888 for the 2016+ however according to OME, only the 888 is made specifically for the 2016+ that's why I didn't. Yes the 887 is only 5mm shorter than the 888 and they are both the same rate so the difference in lift is marginal.

    3" ish, didn't measure before and after, wish I did. 285/75/16 rubber
