All about the method used to lift. Rather than using OME leaf packs known for being noisy and making a brand new truck sound like an old POS, I decided to run a 2.5" block with extended length shocks. Ride is great, no noise at all, works great for me. Up front for now is a bolt on top spacer. Soon those will come out and a set of 2016 5100s will go in with 888 coils and JBA UCA's Doesn't matter how heavy the truck is, a spacer will always yield the same lift.

So half assed and you're here trying to teach people? Sounds about right.

Absolutely nothing half assed about blocks in the back, been done forever, blocks are used from the factory on many trucks out there that last forever issue free. I agree bolt on top spacers up front aren't the best however again they'll last forever if you're ok with the rough ride the offer.

So did full ome 888 with Dakar and carrier bearing drop. Did leave Dakar pack alone.

As a result I have a nasty vibration. Did not really notice it with all the old UCA's, leaf springs, coil overs and ome wheels/tires in the bed going home from install.

So is this angle bad enough to cause vibrations? Toytec suggested shims which are on the way, and most likely will take the 3rd leaf out. Don't have a tool to measure yet.

Mine has same lift and zero vibration. Might want to make sure rear end is centered and U-bolts are torqued

Yeah had it done by a reputable shop so I'm hoping everything is tight. Not sure if it makes a difference but mine is a DC. From my searching it seems the DC seems to suffer more for some reason. Did you leave the 3rd leaf in your Dakar spring pack?

    This may be a dumb question..but I'm getting the 1800rpm - 220 rpm vibe..its slight.
What do you mean by check if the rear end is centered? Is doing an AAL and shock swap in the rear that involved where it could cause it to be off centered. wouldn't seem so. inform me.

Anyone know if 5100s from a 2nd gen will fit the 3rd? My buddy has a couple sets and wanted to give me one but don't know if they will work?
