    was going to say haha.
I have a chart saved on my phone for work for the common ones at least the ones that I'd need to deal with like 5/8th 7/8th
mostly just the decimal of them.

Same here we have a chart on the wall at work for quick conversions. I still cant believe that ARB's UVP is that thin. Does anyone know the specs of the stock front skid I mean it has to be close to that of ARB.

from what I've heard the factory OR skid is 1/8th

Its really not a problem if it is 1/8th thick for the ARB one if its reinforced properly.
If its done properly it can be just as strong if not stronger than the thicker ones and save weight at the same time.

Think of it this way, take a piece of sheet metal and see how easy it is to bend, Put some structural bends into it and try again to bend it.
From what I can tell in the pictures it does look like they formed the sheets to have more structural rigidity.

I'm curious if they all need to be used together or not. Almost considering getting it, throwing away the front skid and putting in the RCI.
I'm surprised ARB didn't include an access door for the oil filter and drain plug.

I'd consider the ARB for the venting holes it has and for the sake of saving weight if it is structured in a way to be as strong as if not stronger than the others that use thicker sheets.
With all the other full skids I've been concerned with the heat that might build up having the exhaust and such be covered, to the point if I get the RCI skids I'm considering drilling a few holes in certain places just to help with heat venting.

not sure why all the others don't have special venting holes just to help dissipate heat. If done properly you won't even lose much protection if any besides little things like twigs and little stones. Have the holes placed in spots where those things won't matter if they come through. At the same time you'll be saving weight.

If I had a lift to use for each oil change I wouldn't care to have an access door but taking off a skid plate while crawling under is a bitch lol.

I wish I had the luxury of being close to work.
Sometimes I am sometimes I'm not. Trip could be 35miles round trip to 60 miles on way. I need to try and keep some fuel economy

The ARB setup is probably sufficient and the price is decent. Only question is for the fuel tank?

Like that skid plate package, but I'm not a fan of the look of the rear bumper. My 2c

@mmrocek took a bunch of pics and good looks at these trucks, maybe he can clarify what that is since he was there in person.

icons, 4.88’s, winch, sliders, skids and some dinky little 285’s
So here are the photos I took:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...res-of-third-gens.458593/page-7#post-13590430

Something I noticed about the parts:

Skids are nice and sturdy. I do like the front a little better than my RCI skids. They had a factory fuel skid on so I assume no ARB for that.

They added the heavy duty tow bracket that wasn't part of the bumper - standalone.

The rear bumper is all steel. Everything comes powder coated in black, so I am not sure why they did blue for their show vehicle. (Ok, yeah it looks better, but it looks a bit deceiving)

    Hope this helps.

It looked like they all lined up.... the fuel tank is off center....... maybe I should go look underneath again, but I didn't think it would cover it.

Got an email back from ARB today regarding the recovery point

Hopefully they put this one into production and don't take forever on it.
