There is a TSB (I think TSB) on the kazoo noise, not sure if it applies to the 14 though. Resolution was to plaster a bunch of sealant into the windshield channel. They attempted to do that to my 09 way back, but it turned out so bad, they brought in a windshield guy to pop it out, clean it, and reseal it. One of the few times that the dealer did the right thing WITHOUT my having to turn it into a chit-show.

 

Heard that. I'm just tired of the "normal characteristic" bs.

Good luck. So far mine is quiet as a mouse since I attempted the fix.

 

Pretty sure 883 is closest to stock.

 

Oh...thanks! I didn't see those as on option on Headstrong's website for the 5100 & spring package.

 

884 will be minimal lift on your DC

885 gave me the exact same amount of lift as stock springs on 5100s set at 1.75"

I just figured it was good info -> 883=stock, 884=slight lift, 885=somewhere in the 2" +/- range.

• OME 883: Approx lift height for 2005-2015 Tacoma = "1"
• OME 884: Approx lift height for 2005-2015 Tacoma = 2"
• OME 885: Approx lift height for 2005-2015 Tacoma = 2.5"

 

885 gave me 2.5 on my Access Cab

 

I disagree. While a bank loaning money on a vehicle may not give a rat's ass about mods...and someone who doesn't understand what they're looking at may not care either....there certainly can be added value with the right modifications and the right person looking for a particular vehicle equipped like that.

I'm not talking about body kits, blue headlights, lime green spoilers, LED washer nozzles and fart can exhausts. But real modification with a real purpose.
