Installed my Trail Gear bumper this weekend. It, along with the front guts of my truck will get painted black after I get the light hoop welded on.

The blinkers will get moved up to the corner lights hopefully this weekend.

Also, that cross member was a BITCH to get on.

Did you build in some type of supports underneath the plate up against the grille n fenders areas? What Guage plate did you use?

Looks great. I want to go this route as well.

Thanks! mainly did it for looks, not expecting to carry more than a few pounds on top of it really, I've sat on it before and it hardly moved though, feels solid. I used 3/16". If I was gonna do this again Id probably have set the plates down a bit more rather than on top of the tubing, I found that it went under the grille just fine but when it wrapped around the sides I needed to actually cut it out around the body because the bumper is tilted slightly forward (I think all of them are like this). Had I set it down further I could've just made a simple plate that sits under the body and everything.

Washed my poverty spec double cab. It has the interior of the single cab tacos base model, since most Double cabbed are guessied up with options. Not mine. No clock, no nothing!

Also appreciated my 225. Skinny bitches unite.

Ya when I installed mine I found the same issue of it not sitting 'level' and tiled forward. When I was looking to do it I was thinking of using 1/8" but with that thin of metal I think I would definitely need some kind of small supports to catch it against the front end and body panels. 3/16" sounds like it's thick enough to not be floppy or flimsy?

Do you wheel your truck at all? Just wondering with any amount of body flex, if the fenders and so on would make contact with the plate. Also Do you plan to install a winch in the future?
