After I used Trinova Paint Sealant on my truck last month I doubt I ever mess with wax again. Stuff looks just like a liquid wax and buffs off like wax but you get 1 year of paint protection.. I'll apply again in April anyhow but it is nice to have the extra months protection just in case.

Sealant should be used before wax. It does not replace wax, it's just another component.

Sealant is all I need. My truck shines like it is dripping wet with just the sealant.

Doesn't mean your paint is protected but whatever works for you. Washed, sealed, waxed. Shiny AND protected. This happens twice a year with a clay before each detail to be sure all old wax, sealant, and any road grime are removed from the paint.

So what's the point of sealant if it's not going to replace wax? Why not just wax?

Adds a shine that wax alone can't produce.

I used Klasse sealant/glaze. According to them, it protects: "Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze creates an elastic, non-chip, shrink-proof, heat and scratch resistant - protective seal against ultraviolet rays, salt water, acid rain and industrial pollutants for up to 12 months."

Wax over it, you'll be happy you did. Wash however you normally would but every 6 months clay bar the whole truck also. That'll remove all the old glaze, sealant and wax and also anything else stuck to the paint. Paint feels like glass after you clay it and is perfectly prepped for a fresh glaze and wax.

Keep in mind, nothing that says it does more than one thing is worth anything. Do it right, do it in stages, your paint is worth it. Kinda like semi synthetic oil, lol yeah, sure it is.

Dead center. Has a built in receiver and the plate covers it. Plate is mounted on a fold up bracket. I actually like that the factory trailer hitch removed. Cleans up the rear real nice. Only downside is I have to extend the wiring for the hitch and the lic. plate lights. Otherwise I love it.

Thanks @SR5 BRI! I have gotten over the fact that it will not stay perfect forever. I bought this awesome off-road vehicle to hit the trails and explore the limits of this vehicle. I also detail the crap out of it after each off-road adventure lol.

I really don't care if my paint is protected. I'm going to have my truck Line-X Body Armor in a year or 2. She will be protected then.

Haha they do, but they think I am a little too obsessed with it. I just love doing the work myself and learning new skills in the process. This has been the first vehicle I have ever modded and I can say I am loving my new hobby. It gets me out trying new things, meeting new people, and exploring new places.

lol so why even bother taking care of your paint at all right now? It'll look like it's in primer when you're done anyway.
