Any fellow survivalists utilize their truck?

Really liking the rear seat setup in this truck. With the rear seat folded down you can't tell that there's anything underneath it unless the door's open for you to see in from the side. Might have to rearrange the GHB configuration to see if I can get it to stash under there too. Shouldn't be too hard to fit it mostly under there.

 

Are your lower seat bases still useable for passengers, or are they simply resting on your gear to hide it from plain sight?

 

Nope, still usable for passengers. They're all the way down in that picture.

It's a 6'6" bed, if that's what you mean.

 

The box under the seat? Is it factory or is it like the husky liner box?

 

Ah, I see. That's a factory box. Handy for storing my racheting tie-downs, tow straps, dog blanket, etc.
I'm really liking the flat floor in the back on this truck too.

 

One definite benefit to the Ferd. I asked because Husky makes a box just like that which lines up with their rear matts and I was thinking of getting one for my Silverado

 

The Silverado doesn't have anything under the rear seats? That's kind of surprising.

Yes they are. From reviews I read they are not real sturdy though

Me too but the reviews are overall positive

 

Wouldn't be too difficult to make some out of something more rugged, too. Plywood or something similar.

 

That's not too surprising considering that quite a few industries rely on expanding foam structured products. I have seen a few custom center consoles in hot rods built out of expanding foam when the creator either shaved it to shape or built and lined a mold and then injected the foam.
