It just keeps getting worse for Oregon.
Kid gets a DUII and kicked off the team (deserves that shit, meth... at 19)
And now, a top state recruit won't even come to the school. He committed to... UW

Don't worry it will all eventually turn around when the Chip Kelly experience in San Fran is a failure and he goes back.

I'm not sure Chip would want to go back to Oregon specifically. I could see Texas possibly.

 

Agreed. He created something at Oregon, and the Pac caught back up to it. He would have to completely re-vamp his offense to make it work. But he HATES recruiting and talking to parents. I don't see him being back into the college ranks.
I want Helf gone, but I don't. The guy had a NC run... and a Heisman. He also has a Frosh QB, 4 Frosh on the o-line. 3 true frosh on the defense. 17 of the 24 starters (punt/kick) are under classmen...

 

He wouldn't have to really recruit at Texas....

Maybe a bit in the beginning, but the boosters and alumnus along with the history of the program and the Longhorn Network do plenty of recruiting...lol.

 

True. Forgot about that. But the man really hates recruiting. That was half his reason for leaving Oregon when he did. I honestly don't know who Oregon will pull if they fire Helf. Not to mention, Hoke just showed up for the defense.

 

I do get he won't want to go back, but regardless of where he goes he will still have to recruit. Texas program is not where it has been before. He will need to fight for the top 300. With the interest the SEC and PAC 12 already get, plus the Big Ten's resurgence....not to mention the select ACC schools....FSU, Clemson and now Lousiville's success, it is going to be harder for the Big 12 to get these kids that are willing to move Nationally.

 

I am excited to see final polls. I think it will end Alabama, Washington, Louisville, Wisconsin.

I think when Louisville wins the ACC Championship they will leapfrog Clemson.

 

Ideally I would like to see the Pac 12 implode and it be Clemson and Louisville, along with Alabama and Wisconsin. Louisville has played to well this year to miss out on the Playoffs.
