2017 Tacoma trd pro

i took delivery of my new trd pro on 11/7 on Sunday I climbed under my truck and noticed the frame was a bit banged up, is this normal?

 

Are those down to the metal scratches in the first pic!?!?

I'm not really seeing what you are talking about. Maybe it's the pics? Are you talking about the end of the leaf spring?

Yikes, a couple little chinks on the bottom here and there I can understand, but not that. Those look like a careless hack job. Did you point that out before you left?

Oops, just realized you checked it out later. See if dealer will correct it, if not, get some paint pronto before any rust can set in.

Picked the truck up with 2 miles on it, I didn't have a chance to look under at it as it was dark out.

 

If you use your TRD Pro for what it's built for what's a few little frame scratches matter? You bought a truck that's built for off-roading not a highly tuned sports car. Now go run some trails, put some pin stripes on it and get it dirty. You'll enjoy it a lot more like that rather than worrying about some minor shit like that.

 

Ch78 your absolutely right, but when I stroke a check for 45k for something brand new I don't expect there to be scratches on it

I'd head back to the dealer and say wtf if those scratches are to the metal... or throw a little rattle can black on it.

Completely agree... dropping that much $$$ on a new pro, there should be no BS.

My sports cars are bright red , lime green, yellow

But I got a Pro so I can differentiate myself form regular taco owners

So I went with exclusive yet ugly cement

So you can see me a mile away and know I am in a pro

 

All the dealer MIGHT do is hit it with a little black paint. Get it off the asphalt and you won't care anymore. Less than 4K miles and it has plenty of scratches.
