12v and ground on small ones with the thick wire on either larger post?

And don't forget to use the self-soldering wirenuts

 

So I can put them on either post...since there are no markings. Ground/12v from switch can be either small post, and incoming power/outgoing to compressor can be either large post.

Oh his 80s era soldering gun/wood burner/crayon melter/ant frier/steel cutter/ house burner/ branding iron wont do anything like that. Its a good ^^^^^ its the oporator with momentary swiches that gets him with his bare terminals out.

You can reverse them.
Electromagnets do not care which side they are hit with the positive and negative (Unless it's a negative ground body, then it better be labeled) and current will flow through the large terminals either direction.
