Should be running iridiums, IK22. Are you currently running copper plugs? I don't know about 2nd gens but on my 1st gen, the stock copper plugs make the motor ping like crazy with the supercharger. Forced induction likes colder spark plugs

I'm not sure what the exact part number is for 2nd gen v6 Tacomas since I have a '04, but those are the right kind of plugs. I'd just verify with them or Toyota that those are the right part # and you should be good to go.

Might want to verify with the dealership that did you supercharger install and see if they installed new plugs when they did your supercharger. I know that the Magnunson version (same supercharger without the TRD logo) is sold with new spark plugs as part of the kit. It's possible that they may have put the right kind of plugs on when they did your install, and if they did then your's should be good for another 60k miles or so since the iridiums are good for up to 100k

I had my super charger put on in 2014....do they replace the plugs also? I'm at 40k so is time to change them if the dealer didn't replace them.

If they did replace them with iridums then they should last longer than 40k. But if you aren't sure it might be a good idea to do it anyway. Are you getting any pinging?

Ok, for the FI newb like myself, how much does this help when it comes to a colder spark?

Once you are swapped to the iridiums you should be good till 100k on them.

Guys, I'm in a stuck in a small town and I'm thinking I may have a bad spark plugs in my supercharged 09. I've got some bad knocking and I'm hoping it's just the spark plugs!

Will I be OK with running the equivalent NGK plugs for a while?

Can anybody confirm the part number for the NGKs if that is the case?

    Thanks all!

    NGK's will be fine.

What's the highest octane available to you there?
