Goddamn! That is a good roll. Grats man.

Raid and Trials. That's all that's left. Vosik CM tomorrow.

Tried to take a couple new people through CM Aksis tonight but it just wasn't going to happen. Easy concept but you have to be on point and they were just too nervous. So we just finished HM normal and got the drops for them.

Took a few weeks off but got back into some iron banner tonight. Sitting at 396.

Finally got a nemesis star. Anyone use it over swords or gally? The raid machine gun is sick too with that triple double

Honestly, I like the Silvered Dred heavy machine gun as much as the Nemesis. Just as effective too.

I dig the nemesis in PvP and PvE. That initial burst has saved my ass a few times.

Yea, Im still very hesitant to go into ToO honestly.
My game is still iffy at best and I dont know the maps as well as id like to. Last night i struggled to play, i was just off my game.

I just dont have the time in PvP to really be decent, thats my downfall.

Maybe ill take a break for a bit if I can't find 5 people to help me with the raid with a similar play schedule.

Also thinking ill pick up the new Deus on Black Friday. Hoping its 20$.

I was hesitant to go into ToO myself. But my friends were wanting to do it so I said why not? I won't lie and say the first couple weeks were rough since I had never played 3v3 and my K/D suffered a bit. That game mode is much more methodical than 6v6 and running around shooting anything that moves. You actually have to have a strategy and that strategy needs to change on the fly sometimes. Now that I have played it a bunch I can't wait for the weekend so I can get back in there.

I liked watching your 1v1 private match, @RearViewMirror . That seems like it would be a great way to deal with grudges and I like how they disabled the radar so you have to be aware of your surroundings. Shaders would definitely play into that equation.

I played a little IB last night and once again, mid twenties kill rate with K/D of 2.5+ except one match where a fucker had it in for me and was armed with that stupid Siva pulse rifle you like so much. Dude kept finding me on the map just to kill me. I don't know why people hate the Crucible so much, honestly it's the best part of Destiny except for how bad shotguns are in it.

Luckily we don't have any grudges in our clan. But it is a great way to practice. Shaders definitely played a part when no radar was active. I wore all black the entire time but we ran up against a group wearing the brightest shit out there. We were like "well.... they obviously don't give a fuck""This game is going to be salty lol". And it was. They were good.

As far as the Outbreak Prime goes, I very rarely use it. It's pretty effective during the Vosik fight but outside of that it's not worth taking up an exotic slot. Certainly not worth taking into Crucible for "me". I've taken it in there before and it is fine but there are much better weapons out there.

Your stats are fine for your super and 25 sec grenades are perfect. I do understand the hesitation of going in there unless you have people you are comfortable with. I'm really lucky with the guys I play with. We are competitive but we don't let it stand in the way of having fun first. That is one of the first things we all agreed upon before starting our Trials journey. No one would get upset if a bad move was made. It happens. ToO is much like a chess match to me (and I love chess). Each round is different and 90% is outthinking your opponent. The rest is muscle memory.

This all sounds silly to say about a videogame but in reality, when you get into competitive play, it becomes much like any other sport. You want to win. If you lose, lose graciously. If you win, don't be a dick. For those reasons I think that is why we have started receiving postgame messages. If it is a good match a quick GG goes a long way.

Hidden hand is great on that rifle. That's an awesome roll on that gun.

Im still prone to frustration in PvP. I have been making great progress about not going fist of panic and holding it for the right moment.

It comes down to level awareness. Its everything and especially in ToO. I still struggle to know where heavy and special drop on a lot of maps. Just one of those things i need to cure. Perhaps run custom games like your team.

Now that my muscle mem is more used to looking at the radar its getting better.

Dude... not spamming my super is probably my biggest problem in regular crucible. I "usually" run Voidwalker in 6v6 for the double scatter grenades but not blowing my Nova Bomb is something that I've got to get better at. But I have a very bad habit of using it if I see I'm going to lose a 1v1 engagement. If I would just bite the bullet (so to speak) and accept the kill I would actually get more kills in the long run by holding on to it.

Once we find out what map Trials is on we create a private match and the three of us just go in there and shoot the shit out of each other. It's actually a lot of fun and I need to record our audio because the commentation is usually fucking halorius. But it allows us to get used to the map. We each have our strengths in PvP so we allow each play up those strengths. It makes for a balanced team that way. And it's just damned fun to play with people that you play with all the time. You know what they are going to do so you try to push them out of their element which in turn, makes everyone a better player.

Definitely. The one you posted is awesome but your other ones might be just as good. I never got one of those fuckers to drop once during IB. Not a fucking one!!! FML :pout:

I had to buy the vendor one (3 of them actually).

Level is not as crucial as learning the maps and getting a feel for the flow. If you notice, most of the maps are circular and that forces people to meet on one side or the other. Once you learn those maps, you can start to predict which direction people are likely to run or challenge you from and where to gain cover when needed. I try every piece of cover and perch at least once to see if it works and I try to go the opposite direction for ambushes. Sometimes I get my ass handed to me by an entire team, sometimes only two or three of them (6v6) were dumb enough to branch off and then I get a three kill combo. There is a flow to these matches. I try not to rely too heavily on the special just because people will purposefully raid the ammo drops just to fuck everyone else.

By the way, anyone need a Silvered Dread? I have like five of them! LoL

I bolded probably one of the truest parts of your post. Flow to each map is crucial to each round in Trials. And I think that is why I like it so much because each round is almost always a completely different strategy.
The very first match we played last weekend we really didn't know how it was going to play out since the map was so big. We "assumed" sniping (which there was a lot of) but the very first kill of the game, dude rolled up on his speeder, jumped off, and shotgunned me in the dick. I was laughing so fucking hard at that ballsy move that I had tears in my eyes. It was so fucking unexpected and funny. I wish I would have kept the clip. Sent him a message after the game telling him that was one of the funniest things I've seen in the game. He sent me back "really didn't know if it would work but figured I only had one shot to try it out". Really good move on his part.

Oh, and Jesus Christ, I could open a machine gun, and shoe store with the huge amounts of machine guns and boots that I had drop during IB. I've infused every heavy weapon I have, even the Young Wolf's Howl (which BTW is the worst sword in the game) to 400 with 9 machine guns left in my vault.
