I found an older thread that other people have experienced the same problem after frame replacement. Let's see what happens.

The new brake lines that run along the frame go to the ABS block on the pass. side.

Is your truck an automatic or a stick?

Did they give you a loaner until it's replaced?
Mine goes in tomorrow and they said over the phone it will take 6-8 months. I absolutely need a truck for my business!

New pro 4x. Fully loaded, works for me. I work in the forestry industry and told them if they want anything resembling a vehicle when I'm done with it that I need a truck. I'm happy with it. Takes a beating and handles rough terrain well at speed.

Truck is through enterprise, Toyota Canada is paying the bill. I'm not the only one getting this treatment. Old guy up the road has had a more basic frontier since March.

You know that after frame replacement my ac quit working. When I called the dealership they said it could be that they didn't hook something up right or forgot to re charge it. Dropped it off.....got a call from the dealer today, said looks like my compressor is out and it just must be a coincidence then quoted me $1187.00 to replace it with an after market.

$230-450 Canadian for a compressor on rock auto. So American would be 30% or so cheaper. That's a lot of labour for such an easy job.

Thank you. I'm definitely not paying Toyota to do the job. Find it hard to believe it was a coincidence when I had absolutely no problems at all before the frame work.

Any pics of what your frame looked like before the replacement? Curious as to what it takes to get them to replace it. Only have visible rusting on the welds just aft of the front wheels.

I'm sorry I do not. But I know there was a cut off like March 31 of last year to get it inspected to be covered under warranty. I do not know what happens with a truck not inspected by that deadline.

Hmm I bought it used from a dealer last February and the dealer didn't mention anything. Just found out about the recall from another thread talking about Toyota settling the Class Action suit. Supposedly we'll be getting letter at some point explaining our options.

I would be calling the dealer you bought your truck from and finding out. Since you live in Boston I know you are in a state that qualifies.

Needs to be a small hole, around the size of a dime.

If the a/c worked when you dropped the truck off, go back and call them on their bullshit and tell them to fix on their dime, not screw you over.

Sounds like they are trying to use the "dumb girl" thing to get your money.
    No offense to you.

Thank you, that is how I feel. I had no noise from my ac, no cooling problem until the frame replacement. I just emailed Toyota Corporate. Let's see what they say. The dealership said that they did not touch the compressor during the frame replacement but I know they had to disconnect the lines and hoses.
