I got a black set. The bolts don't fit into the holes. Not sure if you have to remove the anchors or get smaller ones. I haven't had to much time to mess with them.

Man, it seems there are a lot of mixed reviews about these flaps. Probably going different route because not that impressed With them for the cost!

I haven't seen any bad reviews myself. Personally I couldn't be happier with mine, much better than stock.

I've only seen two gripes about install. One of them didn't read the directions and the other didn't have the right tool.

Got mine on the day I got them. Only the one front middle lower hole gave me problems. If the plastic bracket is gone the the screw goes into just take one from somewhere else!

Thank you! What does the J Bracket attach to on the front set? I put the J bracket into place but it doesn't seem like there is anything for it to attach to in that bottom hole. I can push it in, but it just falls back out. I feel like I should have a nut or something on the far side.. but no way im reaching that

I didn't realize, that in order to attach these, you were given some pan-head SS sheet metal screws  and that you screw them into some plastic anchors. Seems bush-league at the steep price point.

Also the material isn't as flexible as some reviews made them out to be. Maybe because it's getting cold?

I'm not sure I am happy with the purchase but I'll give it another day or so.

The J bracket is attached by a well nut. so the more you tighten it creates it's own nut from the pressure. just put mine on it was super easy. lmk if you have questions.

Just figured this out as well. Didn't realize it was a simple pressure system.. I was counting and trying to figure out if I was missing nuts. All in all the installation went easy (once i figured it out), and they sure look great. I couldn't be happier. I will post some pictures as soon as I get some daylight.. as I put these bastards on in the cold dark of the German night.

You don't want them too flexible. when your off roading the flaps need to be stiff enough to hold the onslaught of dirt and debris the tires are spraying at them

Installed mine today finally! I ended up increasing the slots in the front flaps so I can mount them further inside the flares. I thought they stuck out too much even for regular sized options. Also painted the hardware black even though the washers were already black anodized. These are much better than the hard spike-looking mud guards from the Toyota accessories selection.

Just wanted to thank vangas again!
Excuse the dirty truck... the flaps look so black and new, but I may take a trip out to Santiago peak tomorrow if it doesn't rain too hard.

Looks good. I almost did the same thing at first, but figured I'd give it a shot as is. So far it hasn't bugged me enough to justify pulling them back off.

I'm with you on the black screws though; it really looks a lot better. I should have painted mine but I don't want to take them back off.
