There's two 2017 Tacoma's in my area that I'm going to decide between. I'm curious which one you guys would go with and why?

    1. 2017, Sport, Manual Transmission, Blazing Blue Pearl, tow package. I know I can get this one for $33,800 as I've already talked to the dealer.

    2. 2017, off-road, manual transmission, Inferno, tow package. List price is 35k, but I haven't talked to the dealer. I'm assuming that I can get it down near about the same cost as the Sport.

If you can get both for the same price, and they are similarly equipped, the Off Road.

Color matched door handles, Weathertech floor liners, bed mat, Durafit seat covers, tailgate clamp, 2016 TRD Sport 17" wheels with Yokohama Geolander AT tires , Toyota exhaust tip, Toyota/Yakima bike rail mount, Toyota wheel locks, Toyota hitch cover, Redline hood struts, unifilter on air pump.
Both sound like good choices, but I would go with the Inferno Off Road. JMO.

id go for the cheapest...especially if you plan on lifting it and replacing the off road shocks and getting new tires.

if it came down to color... id go for the inferno just cuz i see the blue more often.

Get the one you hate the most.

Get them both. But ask to pay 40k plus fees.

Seriously Not enough info, let's start with why are you buying a truck?

Seems awfully expensive, I'd get a 2005 with a salvaged title if I were you...

They should both be the same price if they are the same config.

As much as I love my BBP, an Inferno Off Road MT is badass.

Uhh... they don't just give away a rear locker and terrain select for free.

He'll easily get 2k off of the Off Road. they run that way around me all day long. Even as much as $2,500 off advertised lol.

Get whichever one better fits your needs and wants.

We don't know that info so it's impossible to guide you with no other info.

Yeah I get that, but (and I may be misinformed as far as outfit, I have 2nd gen knowledge) but if both vehicles were identically equipped, the Off Road would have more stuff by nature of it being Off Road. So I would pick the Off Road if they were the same price.

Well yes, but I haven't noticed much difference in price between the two as far as what they are taking off of MSRP. I'd imagine there would be more wiggle room just because of the fact as well.

Well depends where you draw the line for equipment. Sport gets the skewp and color matched flares. I also recently learned the sport MTs get hill start assist which is a very nifty feature and not on OR MTs. Of course the OR on the other hand gets a locker, brake booster, ATRAC, black flares and billies.
