I already have my Tacoma. I don't drive mine in the snow.. I wait till the streets are dry. Guess when a man gets some years on him driving on snow/ice packed roads don't seem to fun anymore. Or necessary.

People say Texans don't know how to drive in snow, but the problem is we rarely get snow, we get ice. I thought we got snow, until I started traveling to Iowa in the winter. You can drive on snow. Ice, not so much. It doesn't stop the rednecks from getting out in their 2 wheel drive trucks, and passing everyone on the road, until they spin out and end up in the ditch.

Know what you mean. Back when I was stationed on Custer Hill at Fort Riley, KS. back in '79 to '81, I lived off post in Junction City. On my way up to Custer Hill every snowfall the cars/trucks off on each side of the road in the ditch all had warm weather states license plates on them. Brother and I use to get a good laugh each day seeing that.

Used to drive 2wd pickups, 57 chevys and a '65 Mustang Hi-po in Montana before we had a daytime speed limit. One just put some weight in the back and paid attention, and notice all the out-of-state plates in the ditch.

Oh I wish it was possible to avoid driving on icy/snowy roads up here but for most of us if we skipped work, church, shuttling kids around every time it snowed or the roads were icy there would be years where you might only leave the house 3-5 days a month from December-February/March. :)

Of course we live in the country so they aren't exactly eager to remove packed down ice on the township roads it usually just sits there. I guess I am ok with it if it keeps our taxes lower, just drive slow.

Hey guys I did not want to make a new thread, but on your tacoma did it come with three rails inside the bed? my 07 used to have them on the sides and one against the cab, my 17 has two on the side but the one on the cab has a spot for one and the bolts are there but no rail. Thanks for your answers.

That's how all 3rd gens are. The 2nd gen front rail fits. You can order them for around $40.

Yeah mine was in that range. If someone is trading in a second gen, they should just swipe it from that.

Toyota doesn't offer the front bed rails for the 2016, so I'm assuming the 2017s don't have them either.

See above. 3rd gens don't come with the front rails but the front rail from the second gen fits.

I like the look of the BAMF grille. It gives the Taco a clean and solid appearance.
