Even though light, that aluminum plate adds a fair amount to the tailgate swing weight.

Were your bed corners bent or cracked yet, or is this just preventative? I've got a set of Bentrodder reinforcements in the works.

I was wondering what the weight delta was with adding the SC. Box in transit shows 89 pounds. Did you happen to pile all the takeoffs on a scale?

I put a t-square on my bedsides before bolting it all up. It was downright frightening, especially the passenger side (hi-lift side).
Front weight is right around 60 pounds more.

What's ironic is I go to the mall maybe once a year but I play truck in the dirt once or twice a week.

Yeah but it must handle good. Your at a near 50/50 weight bias
This is so true. The guys from Mobtown were surprised how it felt when I showed them my Relentless tailgate protector.

is your snorkel hooked up or just there? and does it seem to run ok with the SC? i have an airflow on the way and I'm nervous about it not sucking enough air an choking the SC

The Airflow snorkel will be fine for your SC.

It's hooked up. There is no a-pillar mount. But it's fine.
The ID on the snorkel is larger than the factory air tube. People that claim it restricts air don't have a basic understanding of airflow dynamics. Yes it has a couple more bends but it's a larger diameter. You will be just fine.

Edit: Who the fuck installs a snorkel for looks? They are fuck ugly.

I have no reason to change it out. The tune I have is specifically for the factory air box. The factory box fits my initial measurements to clear the engine crossover tube I plan on putting in. If it fits, it ships.
