Trips will always be around. Your father won't. My only regret is not seeing mine much much more than I did, then lost him in 2011.

For any Tucson members taking the 4×4 route: @05tacomabro and I will be meeting at the subway just north of Ina and Oracle on the east side of Oracle at 6:45am on Friday and will convoy up to mammoth together. Anybody else who wants to meet there let us know. It will just be a quick meet up and get back on the road. There'll be plenty of time for bs and shenanigans once we hit mammoth.

Well, I've had quite the scare the last couple days. I was thinking I'd have to bring the Cherokee on this trip due to a very hard to track intermittent misfire on the Wrangler, which would suck because I'm dead positive that the Cherokee would never tow the trailer up some of those steep rocky climbs without some major skinny pedal action and torn up tires (open/open).

Leaving the trailer at home was a very real possibility until I found this. How's this for a fouled spark plug?

Yep, fouled in 5k miles. According to what I'm seeing on the interwebz, the buildup indicates either the wrong temperature plugs are being used or that cyl is running super hot.

Not yet. called today. may not even have them back from powder coat by thursday. we shall see. I'm going to be pissed if they are not back by Thursday. the whole reason on buying the bumpers was for rug road.

Not for too much longer. Our lease ends in August. Then we're coming home. :)
