Is it cool to ask for reviews of products that are provided by sponsors?

So I am looking at a product offered by one of the TW sponsors, but I would like to get opinions on the product compared to the competition. Thing is, I did a search, and don't really see any such comparisons in the results. So, is it OK to say "how does <sponsor product X> compare to <competitor product X>", or do we discourage such comparisons to appease the sponsors?

I dont see why it would be a problem. your not bashing anyone your simply asking for real world feedback. and by sponsor i think you meant vendor. a suggestion i have would be to pose the question in the thread of the products you are interested in. meaning i sell a pressurized onboard water system and another vendor sells a waterport system currently on group buy. id ask in my thread why people like my product over waterport and ask in the waterport thread why not proforces system. youll get both sides of the story then you decide on your own
