I think the price is way off. The diesel colorados are not very common and have a big premium attached to it. Having all the locking diffs is nice but I really question why only 31s with a 2" lift? Fancy F1 suspension company parts and 31s? How much travel are you getting out of that?

If you are going to mod it at all it seems to be a waste for the price. I did want a Colorado diesel before I bought my Tacoma. I bought the Tacoma because I couldn't even get anyone to bring in a diesel to Hawaii. Add the premium for the diesel upgrade and it made it not at all worth it.

I would bet MPG's figure into it to some extent.

Gotta figure Chevy lost a couple MPG's due to the ride height difference and loss of air dam. Likely had to find some other way to eke back at least 1 MPG.

Listen I don't care about the pro hate around here

I have been modding my cars for a long time

But the argument that pro is a joke is silly

Why do guys buy m3 when you can mod a 335 for cheaper ?

Why do you guys even buy sport or or
Why not start with Sr5 and mod away

Anybody with any maturity and who lives in the real world knows there is value to a pro or a m3 or a e63 amg wagon. It isn't about modding something to make it better

I would like to see the green in person, and then they need a manual option, but doesn't look like that may be offered from what I read

I agree. There are plenty of people that dont want to spend weekends or thousands of dollars getting their vehicle up to the next trim level on their own, when they could just buy it outright and enjoy it.

    +1

Well my passion is sports cars
    So I mod them
Spend weekends wrenching on that on two wheels

    Trucks aren't my passion
So I am not going to max out my credit card spending 10k on lift and Bro dozer wheels

I will mod my Pro some
But I prefer to start at the pro as a base

    To each his own
I don't get all the hate around here

I am not sure anyone is correct or incorrect here. Shout specs all day until your blue in the face but if someone WANTS a Chevy they'll get it and if someone WANTS a Toyota they'll get that. This does happen to be a Tacoma site so it just looks like bait to me.

my two cents: 2 year old Chevy's look 10 years old and command a 10 year old resale.

The fact is toyota does nothing to the pro that you couldn't do yourself. I personally like the pro series but don't believe it is worth the extra $$$

    That is fine

You don't pay for my truck

    My 16 OR was 33k

My 17 PRo was $8100 more

    To me it's worth it

That said 99.9% of Tacoma world can do everything they do with a 25-28K SR Tacoma yet everyone is spending boat loads of money

I don't pay for other people's trucks so I don't judge how they spend their money

Per your other threads you don't think crawl controls is worth it either

Been driving land cruisers a long time and 200 series crawl control off-road is best invention since sliced bread

But of course I am sure you think the $83,000 land cruiser is gimmick too

Have you looked at 2015 MY colorado/canyon used listings? The resale is on par with the current gen tacomas. Find me a 2015 canyon for $10-15K and I'll buy it sight unseen. Big 3 resale percentage has gone up quite a bit over the last 5-7 yrs. why does everyone on here compare them to 90-00's GM junk? I'll never understand.

You could use that argument for every trim level above the base model though. You could add heated mirrors, a bigger nav screen, keyless entry, you could add a plug in the back, fog lights, different headlights, you could add lockers, etc etc

You could do all of that yourself.

The "i dont think its worth it" is a value judgement that everyone would have to make on their own, but don't defend that decision with "doesn't do anything I can't do myself!" argument.

No the land cruiser is an incredible vehicle with incredible herritage. I would love to own one but have no need for one. I,m not arguing the same point for evEry vehicle or trim level, I'm saying the trd pro trim isn' worth the money for the upgrades they put into the vehicle. That's my personal opinion. For $40,000 I wouldn't get a tacoma, because, it's a tacoma.......

    Thank you

I like my 41k Tacoma just fine

The limited, the ultimate poseur taco , gets no hate

But us pro guys get all the hate

Good thing a tub of thick skin jelly is provided by Toyota upon purchase
