I use a paint mixer on my drill to mix it up. Mixes it all up and sort of thins it out. Makes it easier to pour. Then cut an old soda bottle to use as a funnel.

I fluid filmed my truck on the weekend. I covered the diff as mentioned by the original poster. Now I didn't go to town on the differential but wondering if the breather got covered is that bad? If so what's best approach to clean it?

Do a search for breather mod and never have to worry about it again.

Used three cans on mine last week - dog decided it tasted / smelled good and licked a bunch of it off. He's not always the brightest. Luckily, didn't make him sick and I have an extra can.

I wouldn't worry about it. If anything, it will keep it from seizing up and plugging the breathing.

I just finished spraying down my FJ earlier today. Last year I used Eastwood internal frame coating and it came with a 24 inch spray wand. This year, I just use the same wand to put two or three cans of FF inside the frame. Then two or three more all over everything else.

He can lay around in the rain now as well, as his hair shouldn't get all rusty now

Did my 17 Pro today. She's ready for a New England weather.

I definitely reccomend the 2 ft direct and 3ft 360 wands if you're doing a in the driveway (not on a lift) install...

I cheaped out . the FF plastic fitting is a bastard thread ( 1/2- 27? not quite a 1/2-28 according to my thread pitch gages ) to fit into the gun . I had the tools needed to modify the gun so I drilled out the end of the plastic fitting for the FF gun with a 21/64 drill about 1 " deep , then tapped it out with a 1/8 x 27 pipe tap . Now i can use any standard 1/8" pipe fittings and pipe for extensions etc.
The last pic is an end plug for air or fluid I found at the hardware store , I drilled a hole on each flat to make a 360 degree end to use for the doors and rocker panels etc.Cost me about $4 IMG_0784.jpg IMG_0785.jpg IMG_0788.jpg IMG_0790.jpg

That's slick. I got the wand with my undercoat gun but if I didn't your solution looks at least as good and maybe better than the manufactured one. The thread and pitch variance might be a metric to imperial thing. My gun says made in Italy.

Did mine tonight with four spray cans.

Here were my assumptions prior to starting:

    1. It takes you guys multiple hours! Must be slow. I'm think 20-30 minutes tops.
    2. Extra nozzles? Air compressor? Please. I'm good with spray paint.
    3. Cover driveway? Eff that I'll be careful
    4. Coveralls!? Hahaha. Not a chance. I'll only be few minutes and be careful.

    Afterwards.

    1. After and hour and a half I gave up. Halfassed it and was just about of spray. This takes waaaaaay longer than I thought.
    2. Yeah right. Where are those 360* nozzles again? I'd estimate 90% of the boxes section isn't covered.
    3. Hahaha. The skating rink has arrived early. I have no idea how I'm removing that. My phone was 10' away. It was covered in a nice mist too.
    4. I removed clothes in the driveway and I think I'll just throw them away (shorts and t shirt).

So my frame and underparts are okay. My garage smells like a sheep petting zoo and I'm pretty sure I won't need lotion for the next couple weeks.

Thanks for sharing, I've been thinking how I should plan to attack this project.

Since mine came with a "dealer forced down my throat without telling me" undercoating, is it worth doing fluid film? I have found mixed reviews.. some saying that it will soften the undercoating and do more harm than good.
