How does the shipping work if you have something to sell?

How does the shipping work if you have something to sell and getting paid? I know how Ebay works, but does this B/S/T work on the honor system?

 

Generally you can require payment through your paypal account. When the payment it received in paypal you would ship the item. Paypal offers some level of protection to both the seller and buyer. Also, it helps to pay attention to the post count and reputation of the folks you are dealing with. Anyone on here that is a long standing active member isnt likely to tarnish their reputation to screw someone out of a few bucks.
