I will add context to this one. In the past year I lost my department do to a hostile takeover of the guy who worked for me but talked a good game and plays politics way better than I do. Learned a lot from the experience but mainly to not be so naive.

Anyway since this person got control of the department there has been a high turnover rate and every time something comes up with a customer he blames on the employee that just left.

Its easy for management the blame the guy that last left. Its much harder to take responsibility for those you manage and their decisions.

And are they also charing you for the reinstall? The only time I've delt with Apple is when I had an iPod fail on me. They wanted $150 just to diagnose it! I eventually talked them into a free replacement.

Surprisingly not, they just wired it into the Ethernet and imaged it from the server they have in the back. Process took maybe 10 minutes after the initial wait. They said they could give me Yosemite but it ended up with El Capitain, oh well!

Yeah, some organizations just suck. In my experience that suckage always starts at the top and works its way through the organization. If upper management turns a blind eye to lower level managers misbehavior, the best thing to do for anyone with a whit of sense is to run the other way. Personally, I don't have a lot of patience for behavior like what you describe from my managers or people. I have a finely tuned BS sensor and IMHO any good manager can smell BS from a mile away. But life isn't fair, bad managers get promoted and narcissists start companies all the time. All I can say is my life has always improved when life took me, willing or not, away from those kind of people.

I have one I'm using. Not sure if it's the exact same model number, because mine is from 2013

How have I missed this thread?!

I could hash most our company's problems up to operator errors lol

Most likely you have the original h100i.

What processor are you using? What temps (idle/load) are you getting?

Sorry for the questions. Just trying to compare.

It's always operator error but you can't tell them that lol

I only have to interact with app teams instead of users. App team is a fancy way to say "power user".. or a user that knows how to use the app but doesn't know how it actually works. I tell them they are wrong constantly... To the point that if they need something, they ask someone else because they know I'll tell them no because all of their ideas are stupid.

Sorry, I wasn't at my computer last night, so I missed your message.
I don't pay attention as much to my computer as I did back in college days, so I'd have to run a test for you.
However, I also misspoke about having a H100i - I could have sworn I had one, but my case configuration would make it impossible. I have a BitFenix Prodigy case, and my Newegg order history shows I bought an H60. Now that I'm thinking about it more, I mounted the H60 to the back of the case. I also had an all-in-one video card CLC as well on my first card that was mounted to the top underside of the case, which I believe was the one that held dual 120mm fans. I've since swapped to a better card that is back to standard cooling - partially because the CLC doesn't fit on any other card, and coincidentally I've put my optical drive back in, which would have smacked into the radiator.

That all being said, I'm not sure my setup now applies to your test. If it does, I'm busy these next two days, but work from home on Friday and could try setting up a test to run while I do my job. Processor would be a i5-3570K Ivy Bridge (this, specifically)

If I'm of no help, I can at least say that if you have been considering these sorts of coolers, I had done some post-research to my build and found out that I should have probably bought a Noctua NH-U14S, which has been shown to do the job better. Since I don't overclock, my primary concern was noise - my past builds have been very noisy until coming into the CLC coolers, but in the future I'll probably go back to the 'tower of power' :p
For fun reading, this thread is applicable to your interests. My only concern with the large tower coolers is their weight; so if you have a vertically mounted board, I'd research how safe that setup may be.

    Thanks for the reply.

I was trying to compare what others with a h100i got for CPU temperatures. I believe my h100i GTX is having pump? issues which is causing the high temperatures under load (80C+ - have seen it over 90C) with my i7 4790k (stock clock).

I have ordered a cheap (but nice) CoolerMaster 212 EVO (air) to see if my temperatures are lower. It was on-sale on Amazon for $23.75.

Anyone have any pointers how to get a HP laptop to boot that came with Win 8, I upgraded it to Win 10, now the user wants a downgrade to Win 7.
We both hated he had Win 8, for obvious reasons.
We both wanted him to try Win 10. So I got him an SSD and 8GB RAM. It has a Pentium processor (slow), but he didn't pay a lot for it either. It runs 10 okay at best, but he wants congruence with his work PC here, which I understand completely. This is somewhat a work laptop as well.

    Onto the booting....
Every damn disk, legit or burnt copies, of Win 7 gets to "Starting Windows" page after loading files, and HANGS! I've tried Pro, Home, Ultimate, and Ent versions. All of them stop at the same point.
    PLEASE HELP! :)

    Tried that too.

I took the machine apart and putting his SSD into an EliteBook that had a HD fail. I scrapped that drive and all he'll need is booted with Win 7, which this machine had installed on the HD that died. Didn't want to do it this way, but it seems to be working, for now...

I'm fairly new to this forum and stumbled across this thread while browsing around. I work in the IT field as a Systems Administrator.

I have never, and don't yet own a Tacoma, but I've been eyeing a 3rd Gen. I haven't decided if I'm ready to trade in my 2012 RAM 1500 Sport for a Taco just yet, but I sure do like the look of the new ones and I miss having a manual transmission!
