Sorry about the damage, glad you're ok.

FWIW The bumpers without hoops look clean & cool but the hoops are designed to direct the animal under your tires instead of up on your hood. ARB ftw

Heres your chance to get TRD Hood scoop and headlights. :)
ARB just came out with a line up of bumpers for the 2016+.

Curious to see how the repair goes with the white truck. A deer ran into the side of my silver '16 (@60mph) and the repair (even after 2 tries) wasn't to my liking. I referred to it as my 2-tone Tacoma.

I went with white on the '17 in hopes that it will be easier to match in the event of another deer mishap...

Had an accident back in February where a lady pulled out in front of me and I hit her rear quarter panel (could have been her driver side door had I not swerved) and took out some of my front end. Yours looks worse but just this was 8K worth of damage and they had a hard time getting parts in, but that was 9 months ago so parts should be more available now. In hindsight, I wish I went with a better bumper but maybe next time if there is a next time.

Sucks that happened though, mine was only two months into ownership. Went 5 years and 100K on my Tundra without so much as a scratch for the most part. Happens eventually I guess.

Had a somewhat close run in with a deer a few days ago here in Kansas, SUV in front hit it, went flying up in the air and landed right in front of the vehicle in the adjacent lane. At night on my dash cam with a dirty windshield but still visible.

Glad you are okay. Remember to always aim for the deer. They won't be there when you get there. Swerving could have much more severe consequences.

Did you get killed on the 16 to 17 trade with a mis matched car?

That body shop would've repainted my whole truck if that's all the better they could do. That's awful!

    Exactly.

Locally body shops can match pearls on cars, so easily. For them not to match a silver on a Tacoma is unbelievable.

Damn what a crappy job color matching on a brand new truck - not like the paint has had time to fade over several years.....

That sucks, sorry Bro. Freaking deer, always a risk on the east coast. I know they try to thin the herd with hunting here in VA, but I swear during hunting season, the deer are smart enough to know this and actually move closer to civilization to avoid getting shot.

PLEASE don't swerve to avoid deer. Risk of serious injury drastically increases. Hit the brakes and stay in your lane. If you crumple a bumper, so be it. It's better than a major wreck or turning it into a multiple vehicle collision.

Not ragging on you OP. Everyone does it. Glad everyone's ok.

Related; around 2006 I was in a rental (Convertible) on a back road cut into the side of a wooded hill in WV. (RH side of the shoulder was armpit high). Freaking deer came down the hill, over the front of the car and actually touched two hooves on the hood and moved on like nothing happened. Luckily no damage that the rental company noticed. But damn talk about pucker factor!

That sux, but make lemonade and get the Pro grill and steel bumper. WTH, go for glassworks fenders, long travel kit etc. I think CR makes a combo +2 wider kit.
